• Roses

  Kalle grows roses in his mane. All unicorns of his species do, though the type of flower varies. They grow on vine-like strands from the scalp and have no leaves, deriving all their nourishment from Kalle himself. The roses are black or dark red with gold-edged petals and a mildly sweet, soothing scent.
  
  The flowers of Nazhutvechan unicorns have properties that vary unicorn to unicorn. These properties are categorized into Dominions that describe their nature. Kalle's Dominion is Somnolence - sleep and dreams. Depending on the age of the bloom, what part/how much, and how it is consumed the precise effects of Kalle's roses differs. Kalle typically uses them to make sleeping draughts and calming teas, but they can be used to create drugs akin to opiates and sedatives. Kalle's current owner coerces to brew these drugs for their own profit - at times Kalle will have some of these drugs on hand to sell on behalf of his owner where permitted by Tether guards. If he doesn't, he can procure them.

• The Word

  Kalle's native language is Lumåts, meaning "The Word". He knows very little Kasurian and his current owner makes no effort to teach him. It would seem they want to keep Kalle in the dark and dependent on them for interaction.
  
  Lumåts is a work-in-progress constructed language that will feature in roleplay with Kalle. Everything written in Lumåts actually has meaning and an English translation, and should you be curious OOCly about what Kalle is saying I'm happy to translate for you.

• Nazhutvechå

  Nazhutvechå is a large tropical archipelago consisting of several city-states governed by local nobles that ultimately answer to an Emperor or Empress. Presently, the ruler of Nazhutvechå is Empress Rovegedh Ihegi, Riv ja Sumul Fåts, Riçepe ja Seç Zociç Chifuvudo (or just Empress Rovegedh...).
  
  Nazhutvechån unicorns are native to the archipelago though they did evolve from standard unicorns that settled there millenia prior. They can still interbreed with other unicorns and have fertile offspring, even unions with equines and cervids result in children but they have all been known to be sterile.
  
  They are ommnivores, and where most other unicorns (and equines/cervids) have teeth best suited to a mostly herbivorous diet Nazhutvechån unicorns have sharp teeth with oversized canines and premolars designed for tearing flesh. They also have round pupils and decent night vision.
