• East End Blues

  Jared's a true blue Englishman, and he'll be the first to tell you that. He's also a Nihilist, a fan of the movies (especially the crime and Western genres), a bare-knuckle boxer, and a good mate. He was born in the East End of London, and that's where he ought to die, if he has anything to say about it. His da was his best friend when he was a boy; an Irish musician with golden fingers, who left his wife and son as soon as the opportunity for fame reared its head. Jared was seven at the time, and it was the first of many blows to his optimism and trust. A lifetime of being spat on by the rich, harassed by the cops, threatened for his sexuality, and of being used over and again by important people in his life has lead Jared to believe in nothing.
  
  That being said, he doesn't have a pitiful attitude about it. Get a couple shots of rum or a round of good lager in him, and he'll be cracking jokes and watching footie with you until the break of day... provided you don't do anything to piss him off. He loves his dog, a greyhound/pit bull mix named Duke; they're proof of the saying about pets resembling their owners. He's fond of taking long walks on clear days, strong tea, and he's partial to chocolate cake. He largely spends his time working, but his off hours are spent curled up on the couch with Duke, watching film after film from his extensive collection.
