➤As a child, he was born with his vocal chords not completely formed, leaving him without the ability to speak. His parents weren't the most responsible, because his father was a gambler and his mother was always sick but refused to take medication. Aidus hadn't known back then but he found out later that his mother had hoped that she would have pregnancy complications and die due to childbirth. Having been an unhappy accident, she lived through the birth but she continually tried to let herself die and he watched her waste away day by day. As they jumped from house to house, never able to pay for it for long as his father spent all their money on lottery tickets and alcohol, he picked up the bad habit of self-deprivation. His mother did it with her medicine. Aidus did it with food. Being unable to carry on a conversation normally, he lost the will to live somewhere around fourteen years old and had to be entered into the ICU for a week while they rejuvenated his body after weeks of starvation and lack of sleep. He was taken from his parents after child service's stepped in and observed how he was being treated by his parents. Taken to an orphanage, he learned sign language there and finally felt a connection to others as he was able to 'voice' his thoughts and feelings. Having started so late in learning how to sign, his grasp of language was shaky and rough and it took years before he was able to fully and easily communicate using American Sign Language. When he was about seventeen, he found out his mother had been hospitalized shortly after he had when he had been fourteen. She died a few months after he had found out. Aidus got to visit her once before she passed and she told him she was sorry she had given birth to him, explaining he hadn't deserved a shitty mother like herself. When she left the world, she left a hole in the young man that he didn't understand how to fill.

Picking up various forms of expression, he began playing the violin when someone donated one to his orphanage, finding that he enjoyed making music and that it was easier to play people a piece than to write out exactly what he was feeling or to try and teach them sign language. With music he felt alive, falling in love with his instrument in a way he had never fallen in love with anything or anyone. Music became his life throughout his entire time in the orphanage, becoming something of a prodigy. He made some money performing in decent gigs and was able to garner a bit of special attention for being mute. It wasn't until he found a man by the name of Junos that his life started falling back apart. Junos taught him how to make love but Aidus was still young and naive and he mistook lust and profit for the type of love he wanted. Junos was the one who got the young man into body modeling: it started off small and innocent. A few gigs as a hand modeler, then a leg modeler. It wasn't until a few months later that the older man sprung the sex calendar gig onto the youth when he drove them to a 'friend who he owed a favor to.' It was so easy to manipulate Aidus into believing doing the calendar would make the other man love him, so easy to get him to comply with promises of sex and physical contact. Aidus all too quickly agreed and it fast became a regular thing he would model for. It was years of a one sided relationship where Junos took and took and took until Aidus had nothing left to give. The older man left Aidus a husk of himself and with an identity he didn't even fully understand. He's still picking up the broken pieces.

The youth moved to San Francisco and made quite a living there, continuing on the legacy Junos created, if only because it raked in lots of money, and is living there in a comfortable flat with his pet bunny Terrance. Terrance was a surprise that Aidus had originally had no intention of keeping. Having found the lost bunny on the side of the road, he brought it in out of the rain and the little shit just never ended up leaving. The feisty, yet cuddly thing became an instant source of comfort for the mute, providing some stability and responsibility in his life. Terrance and his music are the only reasons he hasn't slipped back into old bad habits, though his appetite is still shaky at best.
