History & Hooks

• Biography

  -grew up on Pearl Lane
  -spent a short amount of time as a street walker (less than courtesan)
  -stole his first musical instrument from his ‘last straw’ client
  -went back to begging on the street, but this time as a street musician. Found he had a natural talent for it.
  -finally made enough money to get himself off of the street, but started to turn to alcohol to cope with his memories and lack of self worth
  -vicious cycle of gambling and alcohol addiction leads V’roah into meeting the Black Scorpion Syndicate, falling victim to predatory lending
  V’roah meets L’ysali, one of the Scorpion’s main executioners. Whirlwind romance begins.
  Black Scorpions give V’roah an ultimatum; three days to pay them back, or he’s dead.
  V’roah gets blackout hammered with L’ysali during the three day ultimatum, and gets married. Wakes up and realizes what has happened, and escapes the Gold Saucer before V’ysali or the rest of the Scorpions can catch him.
  In hiding in Ul’dah, he returns to being a street musician and avoiding members of the Black Scorpions.
  Meets the singer Favored Jewel while playing on the street. The two of them agree to play a small bar as a way to help the small business owner drive up traffic to his bar. It goes wonderfully, and Favored Jewel and V’roah start a band.
  Favored Jewel and V’roah gain enough renown that the Whispered Wish hires them on as regular entertainment.
  Spends his current days writing music, but his addictions are a constant battle, and he doesn’t always win.
