Never The Same
Edgar first met Julie at Graduate School. She was studying in a nursing program. The two first crossed paths when playing for a co-ed intramural basketball team. They fell for each other quickly and hard. They dated for two years before jumping into marriage.
Things were great for the first few years. She got a job at a city hospital. Ed had begun to make a name for himself in the business world. The pair traveled the world together. Both shared several mutual friends and were well known in their community.
They both unfortunately got caught up in their careers. Over the years, a rift began to form. The joy just wasn't there. Edgar once told a good friend it 'felt like a chore'. His attention started to wander, but so did hers.
After 7 years of marriage, he found out she had sent nudes to one of the neighbors. In the heat of the moment, he admitted he cheated one night on a business trip. He left the next night for what he thought would be a few weeks. He hasn't gone back since. The pair has since separated.
He's hoping to find somebody to help him move on. The problem is that he's looking in all the wrong places.
