Corporate Self-Security Course
Twice a month, Edgar takes part in an optional class in executive security. CSSC Topics range from rifle marksmanship to martial arts. The company occasionally does business in dangerous countries. They consider it important to have high profile executives trained in self defense.
The hope is that an executive will never have to use this training. Many see it as a sport. It is a good workout after all. A company executive is similar to a diplomat in the way they travel to represent the business. Private security doesn't always get to escort executives traveling on business.
Ed is progressing nicely through training. He's finally figured out the rifle's basics. He recently earned his brown belt in judo. This took years of training through the company program to achieve. Now he's started the long journey to his black belt.
The company's personal security detachment runs the program. They enjoy teaching their protectees the tactics and technique of their trade. It makes things flow more smoothly when the PSD is on an escort mission. The course also helps both executives and security officers gain trust in each other.
The course starts every other Wednesday at 5:30PM. Training takes place in the Personal Security Detachment's basement facilities. -
