  Nenette used to have a Master. A magician with a penchant for making dolls. Eventually, the man decided to combine both of his skills. From small toys that could speak, to stuffed animals who could tell jokes, the list went on and on, until the man decided to craft Nenette. His perfect doll.
  
  She could speak. She could dance. Her big blue eyes could sparkle with the magic infused in every bit of her, from the porcelain that could heal it's own cracks, given time, to the warmth in her fake skin and imitate the blush of someone with blood in their bodies. He had Nenette for many years. Her skills shifting from keeping the company of a spry young magician, to caring for an elderly man. She eventually found herself incased in glass, sleeping for an unknown amount of years, until a spark of magic awoke the doll once more.
  
  She found her Master's estate had turned her over to the Golden Tether on Guilderem. The woman attempted to take her new position in stride. However, she found quickly that she has little tolerance for those she considers unfit to be a Master or Mistress. She proved this by assaulting a Master, Kanrik, as well as the slave who came to attack her while she was pinned. This lead to a trained slave being relegated to the untrained cage for the time being, until improvement is noticed.

  Cicero Warren started doll making at an early age, around 15, apprenticing under a clockwork dollmaker in his town. This spurred a life long passion for Cicero, who started infusing his natural talent for magic in with his determination to make increasingly complex dolls. From clockwork girls who could perform simple tasks, to his last and arguably greatest creation, Nenette. A true woman of a doll, based off his sister in law, Carlotta, in her prime.
  
  When Cicero turned 40, he crafted Alessa. Physically and emotionally cold. She was created to help Cicero perform daily tasks and help create dolls for his clockwork business, taken over from the man that trained him many years ago. It took Cicero and Alessa five years to craft Nenette, already making her in the likeness of Carlotta. Nenette opened her eyes the day after Carlotta closed hers. For this reason, Angelo, who she was originally supposed to be presented to, refused her, and Cicero kept her as his companion, which he explained he wanted all along anyway, but only deep into his cups.
  
  
  Cicero lived for another 38 years, crafting dolls, none with the artisianal quality that Nenette had. None with a complex range of emotions or a deep devotion. Nenette, Alessa, and the other dolls cared for Cicero until his death at age 78.
