  Many words can describe the bandit known as Karmal Blackhide.
  
  Born under the name Najjiti to one of the many warchiefs of the eastern deserts he was quickly thrust into the life of a warrior, killing his first man at the age of six during a raid. Sadly what was most likely going to be a life of high adventure and gold galore was quickly dashed by the cold steel of a slaver's shackles, the cat being dragged into servitude after his clan's camp was attacked by rival group, Najjiti taken along with three others. He was the only one to survive what was to come.
  
  Months of torture passed in what seemed like days, the young Najjiti fed a diet of table scraps, mind-numbing herbs, and a strange greenish slop that would slowly drain the lad of all will to fight... Then he was sent to the markets... There he was bought by a military officer and became the man's house-slave; cleaning the home, helping prepare meals, taking care of animals, and serve their master without thought. Najjiti however had many thoughts; escape, return home, revenge... Some thoughts taken up as well by the daughter of his new master, a lovely red headed gal who despised her father and tried to be quite a rebel. One day she was found pregnant and the next thing the cat knew he was ready to he hanged! The event taught the slave many things, one including the joys of the opposite sex and the other being how to unlock handcuffs with a woman's hairpin...
  
  His grand escape from the hangman's noose would earn him a wanted poster and a bounty, a bounty that has lasted through the years and only seems to keep growing with every robbery and debauched crime he commits!
  
  
  

  The Title of Karmal

  
  The name of Karmal was given to Najjit after a particular incident during his escape from being executed, the cat having already unlocked his cuffs before using them on the hangman and jumping into the crowd. While escaping he had stopped in front of a slave auction, and needing a distraction from the pursuing guards, undid the chains of several slaves... And... Well... Let them go wild as he rushed away to safety! Many slaves and slavers then referring to him, both mockingly and respectively, as Karmal or Chain-Breaker.
