• Personality

  The best way to describe Toren is straight forward... and as blunt as a plastic spoon. He will get to the point and say what he must… even at the expense of his own security. He is sarcastic, short-tempered and careless with his words and actions. He seems to treat few things with proper respect and only likes to be around people when he can get some sort of entertainment out of them. In general, he is a sadistic man who seems to only think about himself and what is in his best interests, but is there anything beneath that?
  
  Truth be told, very little. "What you see is what you get" is Toren's motto: if he doesn't like someone- which is highly probable, considering that he is a misanthropist- he has no qualms with showing it. He commonly picks fights with those he doesn't know too well and shows that he loves the energy that comes from both verbal and physical squabbles. Those who are quick on their feet and willing to hurl the verbal insults right back will quickly gain his attention... not to mention his respect. Even when he is with someone he knows very well, he will pick on them and tease them just to show affection.
  
  Despite the fact that he has the ability to drive the more hot-tempered people up a wall, he can show a side of him that is somewhat respectable and, to the right person, even likable. When he is not trying to psyche someone out, he can get down to brass tacks. He is shrewd, decisive, practical and persistent on getting what he wants. He will pull out as many stops as required to gain whatever has caught his eye... including behaving himself if he thinks he must. If he wants someone in a romantic (or sexual) way, he will even muster up an attempt to be charming... which he isn't too bad at.
  
  Toren is a die-hard, a dictator and a dynamo and has been known to be unconventional with his approaches... not to mention he's ruthless with his competition. If someone is getting in his way, he is a dangerous and vindictive opponent who can cause both mental and bodily harm without hesitance. Toren can easily prove himself to be high energy and pretty adept (in both mind and body) when it comes to fights. If the situation moves down to blows, he has both the mental and physical endurance to take on most men his own size and even a bit larger. Pair that with his relentless will and he can be a force to be reckoned with. His active malice usually simmers down within the day, but some long-term grudges can last for years.
  
  Buried deeply (and I mean DEEPLY) beneath the very convincing tough-guy act, he carries morals and virtues that he holds dearly. He prizes his own dignity and holds honesty to the upmost concern. He is honest to a brutal fault, since the man doesn't believe in even white and half-lies. He won't even deny details if he doesn't like the person he's speaking to: if he thinks it, he'll say it. While he believes in honesty, he also believes in loyalty and that includes secret-keeping.
  
  Toren is a inquisitive fellow and is always reading the people around them. Usually is it in search of secrets or quirks that he can use against them, but this isn't always the case. When he finds out a secret, it's up to his conscience to decide whether or not to keep it. Most embarrassing and innocent secrets he will take to the grave, since he doesn't really care, but he may let the occasional one slip (or threaten to slip it) if he can get something out of it. If he secret doesn't coexist with his own beliefs or puts him and his in danger, though, he is quite likely to start shouting it from the rooftops... perhaps literally if he thought it would get the job done.
  
  There are quite a few people who believe that, once they get close to him, that he will "change". This isn't the case. Even for those he carries a soft spot for, his attitude doesn't drastically change. In general, he shows someone exactly what he thinks of them, telling them exactly what he sees, even if he knows he's not supposed to see it. He believes that proving he knows exactly who someone is and then telling them whether or not he's cool with it proves that he has noticed them, which, to him, is one of the deepest and most sincere forms of respect that he can offer. Even when he's trying to be gentle, he is awkward and rough, usually not being able to handle matters of the heart. Overall, he is a man of action, not words.
