General History
Roman Dean Matthews, second oldest of four children, hasn't had quite the ideal life. Growing up rather poor, the yound man had learned quickly that life sometimes involves breaking the law. At a young age, his hands were in more pockets than a whore in a brothel, while his quick tongue often got him out of trouble. Even though his parents knew of his misdeeds, they began to encourage that behavior, knowing that their child had what some might call a gift. Although many saw doting parents, Roman was abused and simply used for his abilities. His siblings had seen it happen, but thankfully stayed out of the mess. This had broken their bond eventually, but after years of silence they've reconciled. If only the same could have been said for the man's parents.
Regardless, after the beatings and the constant paranoia that Roman had lived through, he ran from home, shortly making aquaintences with the leader of a ruffians. Most notably, thieves, murderes, and straight up ruffians. With this new, but liberating lifestyle, the man has certainly honed his skills. However, he's also became colder, with a severe lack of empathy at time.
Will someone be able to remind him of what love once was, or will he remain a cold man for the rest of his life? -
Personality
Roman is the type of man to follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. At time he may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random, as in he is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. All in all, Roman is for true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal.
The man believes that there is no order to anything, including their own actions. With this as a guiding principle, they tend to follow whatever whim strikes them at the moment. Basically, good and evil are irrelevant when making a decision. In general terms, Roman is quite the insurgent, con-man, gambler, and high roller; the uncommitted freebooter seeking nothing more than self-gratification. He's the type of character to at least consider doing anything if they can find enjoyment or amusement. Roman feels that there is no plan at all for the universe. Things just happen. Leading him to believe in luck and chance, rather than fate or destiny.
Despite his usually negative outward appearance, Roman is rather non-judgmental, naturally curious, easy to talk too, and a great listener. He has a rather hard time defining people or judging them for things they like or have done, seeming as the man is hardly an angel himself. And while his ego is large, the man is truthfully very sensitive, putting on a facade to make himself seem tough.
On a romance level, Roman is also considered a hopeless romantic. While again, these feelings are closested, the male is rather flirty in nature as well as caring. Although his demanor might come off as passive agressive or just foward, there is truthfully no ill meaning behind his actions.
