  Khutulun is a revamped, completely overhauled and only vaguely similar character to her former iteration: Li Ling. But, for the sake of clearing up confusion, and any reference linked to the relatively well known design, it is still the same player.

    • Claims no surname, or clan affiliation.
  • Pronunciation: Coo-two-yoon.
  • Meaning: Moonlight.
  • Nicknames: Lune.
  • Titles: Initiative Commander, Mistress.

  • Birthdate: August 5th.
  • Class: Upper middle.
    • Income: Comfortable, but not luxury.
  • Employer: The Siberian Exchange (presently exploring her options.)

    • formerly a grenadier for the Spear of the Initiative, a herder and breeder of altai livestock outside the Exchange.
  • Assets: The SAS Eyes of the Altai, frigate class vessel retired from the SAS fleet and refitted as a leisure vessel for Lune. Two-hundred and forty acres of land, a modest homestead and a herd of mixed breed horses.
  • Origin: Township of Baatem, Altai Valley.
    • Baatem sits half a kilometer from the docks of the Siberian Exchange and was established by workers migrating there to populate the staff roles some century and a half earlier. The Altai Valley is largely impregnable by anything other than flight, housing an extensive military presence, both ground and air.

  • Deformities: Docked tail. About a foot in length, lost in an explosion.
  • Handicaps: Slightly hard of hearing on her right side due to damage caused by longtime exposure to close range explosives.

    • Lune shows interest in western fashion, couture and the like, but doesn't fancy herself feminine enough to pull it off.

  Khutulun's background isn't one of plenty or prosperity. As with most of the commoners that fill out the population of immigrants who flocked to the valley for work, homesteading and shares, she lived on very little.
  
  There are few stories she will tell about her background beyond impersonal details that directly relate to her interests now, and how she got to this point.
  
  Suffice it to say, she was born to a herder lifestyle and her family supplied domesticated meat to the Exchange, as well as sturdy steppe horses for combat (prior to the advent of automaton.) When she came of age she enlisted largely because her family refused to feed her anymore and the Spear was the only place she could be guaranteed these things. What started as a temporary job measure ended up being a military career.
  
  In her early twenties she moved from a lowly Private, to the cherry-picked, high mortality Grenadier rank. Because death was such an immediate concern, the pay from her work there was much higher, allowing her a much more comfortable lifestyle for as long as she could keep all her limbs attached. Khutulun survived another five years in the squadron of grenadiers, before she and three others - discontent and marginalized - decided to rally those of like mind and stage a coup, overthrowing the the current dictator to re-establish the Exchange as it had been decades earlier.
  
  In the aftermath, she relieved the commander of duty in a very public display (along with countless other vestiges of the former ruling class) of execution and exile, and took over as the head of command.

  Most of Lune's skills are very physical and related largely to the military as that's been her life since she was in her teens.

  
  
  

  Animal Friend - Lune has always had an affinity for animals. In particular she's quite attuned to horses, and she stables a number of them back in Baatem. She's also been found fostering wounded critters and nursing them back to health. It's one of her few soft spots.

  Novice Engineer - Because of the Exchange's emphasis on clockwork, vehicles and automatons, most longtime military personnel have basic knowledge of how to service the above. Khutulun is no exception and likely knows more than the average person about their inner workings.

  
  

  Explosives Veteran- Having spent well over a decade handling black powder explosives, she's extremely familiar with grenades, cannons and other similar ordinance. She's long been desensitized to explosions and handles them with a knowledgeable but doubtlessly unsettling (to most) casualness that suggests she's a little too familiar with, and dismissive of the destruction they bring.

  Grenadier - Selected for their size, fearlessness and ferocity in battle, Initiative Grenadiers are specialized frontline shocktroopers. That's also a nod to their choice of electrified weaponry employed in close combat outside of ranged explosives and artillery. Veteran shocktroopers are a rare sight, as life expectancy for them is a little over two years on average. This generally marks an exceptionally hardy individual and vets them as extremely useful companions given how steeled their nerves are-- for better or worse.

  • Mounted Combat - Lune has been on the back of a horse since infancy in one form or another. True to her Mongolian heritage, she is extremely comfortable on horseback.
  • Self Bow - The art of crafting ones own longbow on the fly, fletching included. Self sufficiency has always been of high value.
  • Enhanced Strength - Due to the lesser known Ogre in her bloodline, she's more physically imposing than she might otherwise be, both in stature and strength.
  • Lion's Leadership - Whether as a result of her charisma, or sign, she's always found herself in positions of power and leadership, filling the vacuum out of necessity and rarely out of grand designs for herself.
