    Kekoa's first Pokemon companion after the death of his Grubbin. Squiggles has a largely placid personality, content with floating along by Kekoa as he wanders the streets. He flashes a calming sequence of lights when Kekoa gets particularly upset to try to help calm him down. Squiggles very rarely is brought into a fight, and usually uses hands-off tactics of enraging and confusing enemies so they damage themselves. His favorite berries are aguav berries.

  • Meru

    Meru was picked up by Kekoa in Hau'oli City in his youth. The Murkrow was wandering aimlessly down back alleys with an injured wing, and he suspected that she was released by a trainer due to her odd ability to use Confuse Ray. She slowly came to trust him as he sought her out to give her food and spent what little money he had on a potion to try to heal her. Since she doesn't sleep, she functions as a lookout at night when the others sleep. She also is the primary pickpocket, divebombing people for their wallets or watches. If caught, she confuses her captor and sends a haze in the surrounding area to hide her escape. Her favorite berries are spelon berries.

  • Kaiju

    Kaiju's name is only semi-ironic, since she does have a streak of boldness in her that makes her more daring than most other Wimpod. She has even almost participated in a battle of her own accord twice. Kekoa coddles her immensely though, insisting that it isn't punk to force anyone to do something against their will, particularly not a Pokemon, and he's not going to make her fight if she's scared. It's just respect. She usually hides out in his bag, sometimes poking her antennae out or looking around to see what's going on. She always retreats back shortly afterwards, but she seems to be trying to work up the nerve to come out longer. Her favorite berries are tanga berries.

  • Jawsie

    Jawsie has a propensity to bite everything in front of her, and usually either eat it or tear it apart. Kekoa's bag is in such bad state because of her attention to it. She is usually the first one he will send out in battle, mostly because he figures she can work some of her biteyness out on an opponent. Her favorite tactic is to dig underneath an opponent and launch herself out of the ground to attack them with a powerful chomp. She is very affectionate, unfortunately the only way she knows how to show her affection is...biting. Her favorite berries are mago berries.
