Appears to be sweet and innocent at first look due to her appearance and heart-shaped face, but is known to be a trickster and a bit of a smartass. Ettie was born to a high ranking noble couple in a populated city within Kasuria, the youngest of four and easily the rowdy one of the bunch. She enjoys reading above all else and eagerly seeks out new books, willing to make trades or pay a price in order to get her hands on the book. Due to her past, and where she lived and was raised, Ettie choses not to wear dresses if she can as she had been raised to wear them no matter the situation was.

Ettie is a young noble woman though she doesn't look it with how she dresses and acts, something which she's tried perfecting because she wasn't exactly happy with her life back home. She comes from a city somewhere in Kasuria where her parents were wealthy, her father a businessman and well known. He had his hand in quite a few trades, but they made their money mostly from the ink trade and a few agriculture areas. Lockhart is a name that most who lived in Kasuria would know as being a well respected family name. Ettie, made a bet with her father when she turned twenty-three that if she could beat him in a game of chess. He would have to allow her a year to herself before he began seriously looking for a husband to marry her off to. Low and behold, she won and was allowed to run off for a year, with her freedom.. She didn't return after a year and has continued exploring the different places in the world. The newest being guildereim and the tether. She's thrown away her pretty dresses and jewelry in favor of pants and shirts that don't hinder her excitement for exploring.
