Species

  Tyri comes from a species found only in Denmark, Norway, and small areas of Iceland. They are a rare species that rarely make contact outside of their own kind. It is very rare that they do, as most of their needs are provided by their own land and the other tribes of her species. Very rarely, they are heard to join vikings in raids with promise of being given part of the plunder.

  The Arach are a species that are descended from dragons. Favoring only their appearance at birth, they only acquire their abilities after a few months during a ceremony. Depending on where the child is born and which tribe they are born into, dragons of the land are notified and invited to come see the infant. If one of the dragons feels a connection to the child, they can claim it as theirs and gift it the ability of their element. But only the ability to manipulate it, they are not able to breathe or create the element themselves.

  
  

  In the rare case that more than one dragon feels a connection to a child, the dragons will offer a small piece of their element to the child so that it is a fair choice on who the child belongs to. There is no fighting as whichever element the child seems to pick first is what will be gifted to them. No Arach has more than one element. They will only receive one, and it can only be gifted by a dragon of that element. There is no exception.

  
  

  Tyri is blessed by a fire dragon and therefore has the ability to manipulate heat and fire, but as stated above, she can not create it and must have some type of source to do any sort of work with it. The most common things she is known for are fire manipulation, fire eating and "breathing", as well as dancing.

  The Arach have a heightened sense of sight and hearing. Able to see at night fairly well as if it was the middle of the day with a slight blue tint in coloration. Their hearing is marvelous and they can hear a mouse rummaging through a fallen tree trunk, this is a very useful attribute during hunts.

  
  

  The Arach can come in many colors and attributes, almost all of them have a talon style for feet and human hands with long claws on the tips of their fingers that replace the human nails. The females of the species do not have horns, but are usually more aggressive than their male counterparts and known to be more dangerous. Males are similar in appearance to the females but have a thicker plate of scales along their spine while females have a thinner plate. The males also have a pair of horns, ranging from one to four horns on their head varying in shape and texture.
