  • Description

    Raze is a warrior of the Dotharl clan located in the Azim Steppe. Since leaving the tribe, he has favored heavy armor with a crimson tint to it, reflecting his time as the leader and guildmaster of the Order of the Crimson Blades. However, he does carry around something dyed in the woad blue of the Dotharl clan, to help remind him of who he came from.

  • Backstory

    Raze was born a warrior of the Dotharl tribe and a reincarnation of a great Dotharli warrior. To cultivate his growth as a savage fighter, the previous incarnation of Sadu Dotharl, Khatun of the tribe, cast a powerful glamour on Raze to disguise him as an Ala Mhigan Hyur. After doing so, she wiped his memory of the tribe and teleported him directly into the Ala Mhigo civil war 20 years ago. Though he was a child, he was still of the steppe and was able to fight his way through and survive the civil war and resulting Garlean invasion.

    After ten years of constant conflict, Raze finally made it out of Ala Mhigo with a close ally, a highlander Hyur named Hrodric Blackfyre and made his way to Ul'Dah, penniless and unarmed. The two engaged in underground fist fights and hunted monsters to survive until they caught the attention of the pugilist's guild. It was there that Raze and Hrodric decided to become adventurers, as it was preferable to getting stuck in the ribs and left to die in an alley after a fight gone sour.

    As Raze traveled the world, he picked up other battle styles, ultimately feeling most comfortable with the style of the greataxe wielding marauders and warriors. In his travels, he eventually fell into the ranks of a free company called Fairy Tail after being recommended to the company by Hrodric. It was in that time where Raze made lasting friendships with other members of Fairy Tail. Ultear Dragneel, an Au Ra Bard and White Mage, Strom Dirvis, another surly Warrior Roegadyn, Arteliex Ahren, a fanatical Black Mage Hyur, Knox Aurach, an Au Ra White Mage, and Okitraz Msmitty, a Miqo'te Bard who left for stronger challenges. Together, along with Hrodric, they all formed a new free company, headed by Arteliex; The Keepers of Dalamud, a semi-fanatical cult worshipping the fallen moon Dalamud that imprisoned the elder primal Bahamut.

    Years passed, and as the Keepers flourished, Raze had a chance encounter with the dragon king Midgardsormr, who when he sealed away Hydaelyn's blessing of light, also unraveled the potent glamour magicks disguising Raze, revealing that he was actually a Xaela Au Ra.

  • Recent Events

    Since finding a new home among The Peacekeepers, Raze has been willingly lending out a helping hand to his new guildmates. He quickly ascended up the ranks of the free company to Arcana, and joined the company's Mission Team, focused on helping the new members to get their bearings and get them into fighting shape, the latter playing into Raze's blood-lust to satiate him in this uneasy tension with Garlemald after negotiations broke down and all out war is on the horizon. On restless nights, Raze can be seen sitting against a boulder in the campground, wordlessly sharpening his various weapons in the dark, his golden limbal rings gleaming in the darkness. At other times, he practices his attacks against the training dummies with heavily weighted weapons, switching between fighting styles in the blink of an eye, every strike aimed as a killing blow with every muscle straining, bringing the full weight of his attack behind them.

    War is coming, and the clock is ticking ever louder. Each turn of the gears brings the hands closer to the hour of annihilation. The ticking of the clock emulates war drums that pound like a heartbeat. A sharp grin rips across Raze's lips, his glistening fangs and eyes glowing in the darkness surrounding him. It's almost time...
