  • Duque de Aguilar title had been in the Rivera family for eight generations, with his grandfather being the most recent title holder.

  • When Aedan was born, his father was written out of succession. Because of this, his parents were kept out of his life, and not allowed to make any decisions over his schooling.

  • At his birth, he was betrothed to one of the Spanish princesses, through blackmailing and bribes, the Duque determined to have a Rivera on the throne.

  • His childhood was spent with him being treated as a Prince, even being addressed as such within the castle walls.

  • At 15, he coaxed a serving girl into a closet; they were discovered, caught in the act. The girl was accused of seducing him, and was removed from the castle.

  • This didn't stop him, but did make him better at hiding it.

  • 3 girls came forward in this time, accusing him of fathering their children, but were quickly silenced.

  • To put a stop to this, the Duque allowed him to pick from any of the trained slaves to take as a mistress.

  • At 16, he was brought into the family business.

  • At 17, his mistress tried to poison him, bribed by enemies. She failed, and was executed Because of this, he has a major fear of being poisoned, and will not accept food or drink from anyone.

  • At 19, the Duque thought it best to send him abroad for world experience, under the guise of business. He traveled through Europe, picking up a small cocaine habit along the way.
  • He met Kass during his travels, wooed her, bedded her, and left her. He did not know until a year later she had given birth to a son undeniably his. He sends gold, and trinkets to her, for his son.

  • At 22, he found himself in Guildereim.

  • Found an injured woman in the gardens, turned her over to the care of one of his servants.
  • Met a wild thing in the gardens, who drinks and smokes right along side him.
  • Baby mama drama! The mother of his child is on the island.
