  • Meralda ( A farewell )

    How you annoyed me so. Stupid, wretched, ungrateful little thing. I pulled you from your self-inflicted suffering and torment, and you hated me. I made you my servant and exposed you to the world you had forgotten, and you despised me. I allowed you friendships, carved a blade for you out of my soul, and you cut me. I tended to you like a better parent would a wicked child; I curbed your tongue with my hands, but ultimately did it to better your future. Though I may have said it many, many... Many times, I would have never killed you. So many fights.. So much progression, but all for not, it seems. In the freedoms I gave you, you found someone you could give up that broken heart for, and you did so foolishly. I felt it when your soul was ripped from this existence, and.. It stung. Farewell, Princess.. I only wanted to see you harden and grow. Though you may no longer be with us in a physical sense.. I know your burning spirit will continue to blaze for an eternity in a land unknown to us all. May we meet again one day, when the time comes for the sapphire to burn no longer.

    There, deep within the jungle as I vented my rage to the trees and cowering fauna, I saw her; a brittle and airy looking creature. Immediately I mistook her for a Caelian from my own land, but perhaps I was simply blinded by envy and anger at the time.. I was corrected immediately in my approach. She was something lesser, but still had an interesting feel to her. A few words were passed and it was all too easy to get her to lose her temper and challenge me to a one-sided duel that I'm sure she now greatly regrets. It ended the same as all those before it. When will these fools learn that I am the god that this world clearly has been deprived of for far too long? Even at less than half my strength, in a form inferior to my true calling, I bested her in a brutal display. I own her now, not unlike many before her, and she will make a fine addition to my current collection of pretty little playthings.

    Finally! A creature truly worth my time. I sensed that unnatural heat of yours when aimlessly wandering through the jungle. How fortunate. I knew immediately that the source of such a flame would most certainly be worth investigating, and of course.. I was correct. A brilliant specimen indeed. Born of both fire and earth, you possess quite the grand potential, and I'll be sure to bring it out of you. You're a smart girl, but clearly that mind of yours wasn't allowed to develop quite as it should have. Don't worry.. I'll expose you to the world. I'll show you the errors and various flaws of man. I'll teach you to control that radiant flame.. And then we'll burn everything to the ground.

    Stubborn, foolish girl. Your days of torment at my hands were of your own doing. Perhaps next time you will learn to hold your tongue when in the presence of a being that could be considered no less than a god in comparison to a form so fragile. Three days I tortured you, broke you, deprived you of the necessities of mankind until your untimely release. I almost had you.. Almost. Luckily for you some deceitful man came to your rescue. Luckily for the both of you I let my pride and arrogance get in the way of better judgement. You caught me by surprise, 'son of Loki' whoever the fuck that is. If it weren't for your pathetic little tricks I would have rend the flesh from your bones with my bare hands. Still you dare spit whatever gutter-speak towards me? The Prince? I'll see you burn for your actions today. Neither one of you will ever escape me, and when I come for you I want you to pray to whatever god you believe in. Odin.. Loki.. I'll merely laugh when it is I who stand victorious, pissing on your broken corpse.

    Fool. Insolent, wretched little whelp. The humans were one thing, but for a beast with the blood of a dragon to support their mindless banter and pathetic threats.. Despicable. They invaded my area, MINE! I was defending my sleeping brother, and here you have some 'wedding' outside of his cavern, and dare send a combination of man and beast after me? I've vanquished thousands upon thousands of their kind, and what's a few more? But apparently that wasn't apart of your agenda, Moriganth. No matter, you were far more of a challenge than some herd of swine. It seems that I have discovered a rather special element with you; Lightning. Nothing will burn my flesh, but to release the body from the control of the mind is something special. You were beaten, like all the rest will be in time, but you managed to bring the prince to his knees. Be proud and consider yourself lucky that the respect I have for you outweighs the unbearable hatred else I would have slain you while your limp body lay within the very cavern I tried to defend on that day.

Soon they'll know, soon they'll all pay and bare witness to the rise of their true kings. Exustio's prime princes reunited, save for one, but we've learned.. The inferno that is our everlasting hatred and fury won't be extinguished this time around...

    A rather.. Special girl, but clearly she's got a good head on her shoulders to find me a worthy specimen for her studies. As odd as it was, I will allow this, and present to her the knowledge she desires. She already proved her worth ( Somewhat ) by rescuing my little slave from.. Well.. Me. Who knew the girl couldn't swim? Whatever, Hersey's abilities seem like they'll come in handy in the future. She also bought me some of that human.. Piss-water, though it did taste pretty good. Strawberry wine, was it? I'll keep her around.

    A good deal to say about this one. Loud-mouthed, insolent, hollow-headed, preachy little thing. While removing myself from the loud clamor of the lobby I stumbled upon her and her little puppet Vidarr. After talking with them ( Mostly her ) for a few moments I quickly confirmed my belief about their inferiority. After announcing this discovery, the woman came back at me with the pitiful story of her short life. Fool, I have lived for generations and you believe your life is filled with more strife and hardships than mine? She decided to evaluate and judge me ( Of all people ) and revealed her stupidity in her statements. She wanted to see my true form, so I showed her, and she showed me her own. As much as I do love felines, I couldn't tolerate this one. After upsetting her man-toy to the point of him transforming into some two-legged mutt I decided to leave. Why waste my time and claws upon the flesh of shifting pigs. Tread lightly woman. Your fiery spirit and connection with your beliefs ( As misguided as they are.. ) will earn you a pardon with me this time, though speak so ill of your superior in the future and you may find yourself permanently silenced.

    Yet another drunken fool of a mortal man that tried the patience of a prince. Though our first encounter he proved an insignificant addition as his naive woman Glorious fought his battle. Our second and first true meeting was yet again on hostile footing. The norse-man dared take my thrall Meralda away from the tether and lend her aid. When I arrived to take her back he tried his hand at stopping the act, having the audacity to call me a coward and demand I fight him in a form as inferior as his own. I accepted the challenge and even though he came at me with blade in hand ( Who was the coward now? ) I still succeeded in ruthlessly beating his sorry ass into the dirt. Brave bastard, though his bravado was quite misplaced, he did succeed in garnering a portion of my respect. You're not tough at all without your blade, human, but I'll show you how to fight like a dragon.
