  Gunslinger gone Nightstalker, Saber-3 is an Exo Hunter from the Bungie games "Destiny" and "Destiny 2". He's everything you'd expect a hunter to be - a jokester, brave, reckless... And, for the right reason, fiercely loyal. After the death of his Vanguard and friend Cayde-6, he spent all of his time hunting down the Barons and Uldren, soon proving successful and killing them all.
  
  Besides his vengeance-driven killing streak, Saber-3 is actually a gentle and caring Exo. He'll hoard important resources and give them to his friends when he can. He's genuinely a good guy... Who sucks at Crucible.
  
  Saber-3 can often be seen at the bazaar, in the courtyard, or sitting by Hawthorne and helping out his clanmates.

• BACKSTORY: SABER-3.

  First, he was Axel Tucker.
  
  Of course, he doesn't really remember that life. A distant life, buried behind fragments of fragments of memories, memories he would never be able to truly decode. He only remembers the name by luck; the words on his wrist, engraved there by hand, as if a permanent reminder of who he once was.
  
  In reality, Axel was a sweet boy through and through. He'd grown up in the regional areas of Australia, the Golden Age doing many favors for the agricultural productions and the travel between planets opening up many more opportunities for aspiring young adults. Axel was given every opportunity he could have by his two parents, who worked hard to support him in every endeavor he went through during primary and high school. He graduated with a mediocre record, but impressive enough that he could float between jobs.
  
  However, when Axel was tossed into the world, he had no financial aid and no assets to his name -- the conventional jobs he was tossing up was not enough. He soon, regretfully, moved to unconventional means, to the point where it got him into more trouble than it was worth.
  
  That's when Clovis Bray entered.
  
  As a way to escape the life he was forced into, Axel Turner took the vital step to go from being a human to an Exo -- leaving his old life behind to instead forge a new one.
  
  But, to remember why he did what he did, he carved his old name into the plating near his wrist.
  
  Second, he was Saber-1.
  
  An Exo made for a purpose, he did what he was told and what he had to do. His body sometimes felt surreal, he could feel slight hiccups in the process, but it was fixed with body modifications. He kept fighting, and when there wasn't any more fighting for him to do, he turned to protecting those that created him. Saber did his job and he did it well -- there was no mistaking his efforts, nor his valiance and quick responses.
  
  He was in Russia when the Collapse happens. He ran through mass crowds, trying to flee from the danger and the horrors that came with the suddenness of the event, but he didn't make it far enough. He died, left to become a part of the dirt for years and years...
  
  Until a Ghost resurrected him, and he felt as though he was living his worst nightmare.
  
  Panicked, confused and bewildered, Saber didn't remember much of his past life, besides the fragments of memories and the name engraved on his wrist. As the Ghost spoke, the more he got overwhelmed with it all, and he forced himself into a reboot as soon as he could. It would save the Ghost his worries.
  
  Third, he was Saber-2.
  
  A complete change in personality followed the reboot, and he cared little for others, less for those he should. The only one he seemed to be interested in was his Vanguard and mentor, Cayde-6, if only because they were on the common ground of being Exos. Saber-2 was the ultimate lone wolf, doing his own thing and ignoring what everyone else told him to do.
  
  He still fulfilled his duties as Guardian. He fought Fallen, Cabal, Vex, and he didn't stop until he fought his way to the Heart of Darkness and destroyed it all by himself. It was a thankless process, but he pushed himself through, and he proved that he was worthy of the title Guardian.
  
  After that, he forced another reboot, right before fighting the Taken King and having a time of peace.
  
  Last, he is Saber-3.
  
  He's happy. He names his Ghost Talon affectionately, and the name sticks; after the final fight with the Taken King, he settles with a fireteam -- sure, it's only the Dawnblade Warlock Phoenix for now, but he enjoys her company. She keeps her out of trouble and he teaches her some fun. And he can only grin as he finds a comfortable pattern in losing in Crucible, coming up top in raids and strikes, and being mediocre with Sparrow faces.
  
  The events that follow -- the Red War, Osiris, Rasputin, the Barons -- press on his conscious more than he would like, but he never reboots. He remembers. He remembers those lost in the Red War because they were without their Light, he remembers what Osiris is doing and the slight good that comes with it, he remembers Ana's daring use of Rasputin and what the Warmind plans to do... And, he remembers the Reef, the Tangled Shore.
  
  Going in there as himself, Cayde and Petra. A group of three, but leaving as two.
  
  It's the memory that hurts the most, he finds.
  
  He forsakes his training as a Gunslinger, wielder of Solar Light. He delves instead into the Nightstalker training, wielding the Void, disappearing into the night and emerging again with a vengeance. Two void knives in the dark, always ready. Always watching.
  
  He finds solace in the Void's energy. He finds solace in the silence. But sometimes, he wishes he could better connect with people and open up once again.
  
  Talon thinks the same.

    Observations made today:
    

    • Kinderguardians are confused by veteran Guardians dancing. Teach them the way?
    • Still suck at Crucible. K/D ratio at 1. (Shaxx says I can do better.)
    • Some guy named the Drifter is hanging around a broken down part of the Tower. Offering a game mode named Gambit? (Might try it.) (UPDATE: Tried it. Officially better at Gambit than Crucible.)
    • People keep staring at me. Why? (UPDATE: still do not know why.)
    • Master Rahool is at it again with the whole "Exos are among the greatest mysteries" speech. Kind of tired from hearing it. Should I just tell him?
    • Talon is hiding in my hood at all times, even at the Tower. The Rifleman must have shaken him up.
    • New recipe for Exo wax at the Bazaar? (UPDATE: yes there is. It's a great feeling.)
    • Fireteam's asking where I've been. Told them I've just been scouting in the EDZ for the past few weeks. Talon has been inclined to follow through with this lie. Neither of us want to talk about the Barons.
    • Glad to be back in the safety of the Tower.
    • Never mind, I forgot Zavala was a thing and he's not happy. (UPDATE: smoothed things over... I think?)
