La'i Bel Xaan

The following stats are largely meant for reference, and perhaps the occasional dice-based combat scenario. They are based upon a highly simplified version of Arcanum's in-game stat system, streamlined for use in text-based RP.

Please note that although scores for more subjective attributes and abilities (Beauty, Charisma, Social Skills, etc.) have been filled in, I prefer not to use them in RP. By and large, I'd rather leave interpretations of the character's advantages or disadvantages in these areas up to my RP partner and their character's personal reactions. I filled them in here mostly for funzies. This has been a PSA, I guess.

"Elves [have] a natural, exotic beauty that is the envy of the other races. Elves are a philosophical race, the dreamers and poets of Arcanum. They prefer to live near forests and rivers, spending their time feasting, singing and talking. Elves can be rather arrogant to all other races, but they especially disdain dwarves." (Dexterity +1 / Beauty +1 / Willpower +1 / +15% Magickal Aptitude / Constitution -2 / Strength -1 / All Tech Skills -2)

Background (Foppish Elf):
"Raised in the city, you lose the elven bonus to Dexterity but gain a bonus to Persuasion." (Dexterity -1 / Persuasion +2)

  (Forces the target to drop whatever they are holding.)
• Unlocking Cantrip • Fatigue: 10
  (Opens the lock on the targeted door or container.)
• Unseen Force • Fatigue: 15
  (Forces the target five tiles away from the caster, and may cause minor damage.)

• Hardened Hands • Fatigue: 5
  (Hardens the target's hands, granting +2 more melee damage when unarmed, regardless of aptitudes.)

• Illuminate • Fatigue: 3 (1/10 seconds)
  (Brightens the area around the caster or target point.)
• Flash • Fatigue: 10
  (Momentarily blinds a target with a burst of intense light. Lowers target's "to hit" chance by -30%.)
• Blur Sight • Fatigue: 15 (2/10 seconds)
  (Makes the caster's appearance blurry and indistinct, rendering them harder to hit. Increases casters Armour Class by +60.)
