• Biography

  Ames was created in the Sharlayan labs located in the Dravinian Hinterlands, an experiment that was attempting to meld the aetheric energies of summons to a more permanent form. The Flan offered a physical shape that was easy to mold and offered flexibility for the energies to fluctuate. However, nothing had truly worked until a lost adventurer stumbled into the labs seeking treasures but finding only their end. The labs having been abandoned during the fall of Ala Mhigo, goblins and other nasties had taken residency seeking all sort of nifty things left behind. The adventurer, unfortunately, was overwhelmed by the enemies, the battle destroying the lab. Tubes shattered, glass and liquid splattered all over the room, the adventurer splayed in the center as the liquid slowly pooled around them. The clothing the adventurer wore started to soak up the liquid a simple mixture of clear sanitized fluid, and then something thicker, a viscous purple mixture swirled into the clothing. This viscous mixture seemed to move on it's own wildly swirling this way and that as it was absorbed into the cloth material. It had reached the pockets of the adventurer and that is when the final catalyst it required, something the researcher had never added to the concoction. A bright flash of light filled the room, a small stone in the pocket hummed and chimed as the viscous liquid recoiled, and burst from the clothing lie fractured stalagmites it spread out, then twisted together in a single spire. Bubbles rumbled within the ooze as it began to take shape mimicking the Mi'qote adventurer below, the crystal was within its center slowly traveling upwards to rest in the forehead of this Ooze Mi'qote, a final flash given and the eyes of this new form opened, spiral retinas spun like whirlwind, as the two gooey orbs shifted in many directions to take in the surroundings. A new life was born, from the aether of lesser summon and that of the soul stone this adventurer carried. Memories flooded her mind from the soul stone she knew things most would take years to learn, the adventurers life flashed into her mind, along with the memories of her own within the tubes her past creator in the lab, the muffled voices the name of her creator slipped past her own lips that parted with strings of goo still connected in sections as she was struggling to finish forming herself. "A-Amelia...." This was her birth, the beginning of something different for this world, she knew what she was and what people did to her kind... Monsters... She struggled for a few years staying in the lab learning more about herself from the notes left behind, and the memories of the adventurer. Her skills honed and she was able to form a more solid texture, color, and shape to mimic the one who gave her life, with nothing left to learn in this place she decided to leave it was time to seek out new information, a reason to belong. She eased her way into society, taking her time to make sure she could hold her form amongst other adventurers so not to be labeled a monster and hunted by them. She took small jobs outside of towns, mainly staying near Gridania, she enjoyed the foliage and the creatures there. An odd adventurer indeed as she could sometimes be found in the secluded areas relaxing with some of the friendlier creatures more than in the Adventurer Guilds with other Adventurers.
