Her real passion has always been art & art history. She loves to research everything she can about paintings, and really connects to that form of art above all others. A talented painter herself, she's more happy to simply observe and appreciate the art of others. Ren has always had dreams of being the person to help wealthy people find their perfect piece of art. But quite unfortunately unless you have a big, lofty degree it isn't so easy to become an art dealer. Her dream ultimately crumbled. Instead she found a talent that pays quite well in sugarbabying & bearding some of the world's and more more affluent men. While she has been everywhere, New Versailles has become a very temporary perch for Ren. Dating two dusty old vampires and bearding a republican politician isn't quite enough to keep her wandering spirit feeling fulfilled. However, she's lucky enough to have met her half sister, Beau. This is more than worth sticking around for, after all. |
Once upon a time.. Ren found Gustav, but more specifically he found her. While she assumed she just had found a needy cat, once she got him home he began to speak to her. In English at first. Gustav told Ren that he was once a witch, cursed to remain a cat thanks to the powers of his jilted fae lover some hundreds of years ago. Being as she was a bit lonely Ren decided that he could stay with her. He was after all, a poor pitiable creature! The cat told Ren that he had forgotten his true name a long time ago, and so she named him for painter Gustav Klimt. In truth, Gustav is no witch. He's a lesser demon. Basking in the magic amplifying properties of the corvidae in hopes that sometime or another he'll be able to summon the strength needed to escape his wrinkly prison. The two bicker incessantly due to the fact that Ren treats him like a baby, but truthfully he's grown quite fond of the corvidae. Gustav loves spending time with Ren, even if it just means watching her paint or sing to herself as she gets ready for work nights. They make a fine duo! |
