    Obsidian colored beast ran with the aid of six legs, emaciated and starving in appearance. Bone shaped its torso, hollow ribcage and piercing hips beneath a thin layer of leathery skin. Its face a missing identity with nothing more notable than the deep hues which bore ferocity from within such empty eye-sockets; an unread hatred, a different evil. Agile and quick were not the more memorable skills the creature possessed as it's sickly movements and horrendous vocals often kept its image fresh in nightmares. A poison among dreams, such terror could not be found tame.

    DISCLAIMER

    Terror is not an easy-for-everyone-to-interact-with character.
    I've reworked these rules of consent to allow players ease of access and roleplay with this character.
    I will always ask before posting if a situation may require consent of the player.

    Additionally, you may relinquish full consent to me as the player (with triggers and allowances disclosed prior, I'm not here to offend or upset anyone) to engage Terror however it may seem fit for the situation.

    Terror is a creature conjured from fear.
    "Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes entities to quickly pull away from it and usually hide. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it (also known as the fight-or-flight response) but in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) a freeze or paralysis response is possible" (wiki).

    So in essence, Terror is the embodiment of an emotion, feeding off energy distributed by that emotion to thrive in both his realm and that of the mortal realm.
    Talk to me if you're character is fearless.
    "Although fear is one of the crucial evolutionary mechanisms for individual survival, in certain situations psychologically normal humans can behave without feeling fear, with a total neglect of potentially lethal risk" (wiki).


    If your character is fearless our characters may not be able to see or engage with one another. Why? Terror typically only appears to creatures that experience fear, and to engage or see him otherwise (while he is in ethereal form, mind you) may require additional plot in order for the interaction to take place. To those who cannot see Terror, but can see individuals interacting with him; those reacting to Terror will appear no more than insane.

    For the benefit of additional explanation, Terror is not just scary because of how it may appear but because it's very presence draws fear forth involuntarily. The fact that Terror is --to an extent-- cute hideous, is just a bonus.
    These are just some things you should be aware of when interacting with the character Terror!
    When choosing to engage in roleplay with Terror without disclosing any additional ooc information or consent, unless I have stated specifically that Terror is visible for all to see, you as the player are acknowledging that your character is fearful. Failure to do so may result in your post being ignored! I apologize in advance!

    Traditionally, Terror is only visible to creatures (mundane-supernatural, including angels and holy figures) that are either weak of will, mind, or heart. That means that they are easily manipulated, and otherwise fearful. If this doesn't work for you, but you would still like to interact or engage with Terror, please dm me so we can find a consensual solution that works and is fun for both parties!


    C O N S E N T V S N O - C O N S E N T
    Terror is not mundane, Terror is supernatural and somewhat well learned and mundane characters are usually the most easily manipulated. I am open to ic opportunity but I require a whisper or heads-up to discuss potential plot. If you want to rp with Terror but your character is fearless, let's set an atmosphere and plot so that it makes sense for them to engage!! You are otherwise consenting to me and Terror's reign and abilities by acknowledging me in rp, and in turn I consent to all of Terror's weakness (holy priests, certain enchanted items or resistance of darker creatures) and rising potential threats.

         		Terror is well acquainted with --most-- species and darker creatures as it is an embodiment of fear, endured and experienced by all. It can acknowledge: werewolves, vampires, demons, ghosts, zombies, witches, and/or the oblivion. It will know of the aliments it's prey may suffer, as a predator it can sense them; it can see details and miniscule qualities that contribute to a character's species; it can acknowledge fellow darker creatures that reign from the same world or place of creation.

         		Unless, your character has experience with a deity (which by the way, is not 'God') like Terror (i.e. priest performing exorcist, fellow darker creature, deity, or shadow-figure/soul consumer of sorts), without being told directly IC that Terror is a Deity, it is unlikely that your character will be able to acknowledge that Terror is anything beyond a demon or ghost. It is a common mistake and being that Terror physically consists of many demonic qualities, many are at a loss of what to call it. From a standpoint, it is Terror and no more.
    You may be ignored:
    • If you post acknowledging Terror while stating that your character is not afraid and have not discussed it with me prior!
    • If Terror is treated as something mundane.
    • If you Godmode, Metagame or Log to avoid in-character action and consequence!

    Please have fun, I'm not as scary as I look and I am usually open to requests or plots despite the daunting and discouraging amount of information.
