Elias Roman Domingo Varela

Elias was in the Amazonian jungle of Brazil when he was on a trip with friends. While on a tour to see the tribes who still lived within the forest, he and his friends were caught up in a dangerous situation when coming to a village only for it to be under siege by a mercenary bandit group seeking answers to something valuable. Elias, this kind young man who has love for people and their cultures stood up to these men, even the leader, foolishly attacking the leader before being assaulted and shot nearly to death.

Severely injured and close to losing his life, the mercenaries left after there was so much outrage from Elias' friends. But they needed to save him and they were hundreds of miles from the nearest hospital. A young girl of the tribe said there was something that could save him. There was a very rare plant that they called "Vital Spirit". Something they considered miraculous. They took him to a medicine woman who was able to find the plant that was in a cave. After preparing it and making him not only ingest it but to take in the burning fumes of it, it took effect healing his worst wounds and left him good as new but he didn't wake up until 3 days later.

He woke up in his hotel room with his friends watching over him. Last thing he remembered was the village they visited under siege but his friends had to fill him in on what happened after. The village was safe but those mercenaries were still out there and would make someone else suffer. Elias, the same night after celebrating and drinking and falling asleep, he woke up and seemed like he was in a trance but he left the hotel to find the mercenaries, coming to their camp with glowing eyes and a sinister smirk surprising the men that he not only lived but he changed.

The next morning, Elias woke up from a nightmare. His friend Rey asked him what was wrong during breakfast. Elias had a bad dream that he went to the mercenary group's camp and brutally slaughtered them all while gaining injuries but he was perfectly fine. They female friend came to them with crazy news that several severed heads of the mercenaries turned up in front of the police department and that all the mercenaries were dead. Coincidence? Maybe...but there was a witness that saw a crazed man that looked nearly like him killing them all.

Elias wanted to go home getting an ominous feeling he had something to do with it. Upon coming home, he's had a fw incidence of doing something sinister that he had no recollection but only through his "dreams" does he remember doing such stuff. Come to find out, whatever that plant was that was used to heal him, it went by another name. "The dark flower of gods". A flower where legend says that the gods had to ingest to keep their power. It was said that this flower was sentient and was unknown how it came to exist but if legends were true, it changed Elias, making him capable of rapid healing, resurrection, enhanced strength, speed, durability, endurance, heightened senses, longevity, and highly aggressive, with the side effect of short term memory loss. It can effect the personality to make one feel superior but the flower was forbidden to use by the people because of the effects but since Elias saved them and he was not one of them, and the vouching of the young girl, they gave it to him. The side effects of memory loss would soon or later fade away as Elias will soon start becoming more aware of what he's doing but...it may be too late not that Elias had a monster inside him. Not a demon possessed man, nor is he a god, nor someone with split personalities, but whatever he is, Is there room in his life for this new change?

The "Vital Spirit" plant or "The dark flower of gods" has given Elias various abilities but also side effects.
