    Catriona, is a known Jacobite supporter with an unknown romantic interest in a British Soldier who is stationed at Fort William. As the daughter of the laird (lord), she is expected to be extremely ladylike, but she does occasionally join in the men and young boys in a game of Shinty (equivalent to modern field hockey just rougher). She likes to help in the kitchen occasionally when there is a big gathering and they need extra able hands, normally she’s put on pastry duty. When she was younger her mother taught her how to paint and play piano, knowing they were vital skills for young girls of status. On sunny days she finds herself out riding away from her home, usually with a knife stuck in her boot and a pistol in her skirts as a safety precaution.

    When tensions started to rise between the Jacobites and the crown, she offered her time as a spy for the Jacobites, knowing no one would suspect a woman, especially a quiet, yet flirtatious lady, when the war started she followed her brothers as a camp follower, very few women followed the men but someone needed to be there to wash their clothes, cook for them and take care of them, and as a healer and troop spy, she was vital to the men just like the other women that dared follow.

    • Trouble Began April 18th 1743, 7:35 am

      On this day, April 18th in the year One thousand seven hundred and forty-three, I have had to start storing our grain stores within the lowest floor of my father’s estate to keep rogues and soldiers from stealing or destroying it. They tried to take my brother because of a small issue at the pub in the village, small meaning they, the soldiers, knew who he was when they saw him and decided that they should just yank a man off his stool for believing the rightful king belongs on the throne. How did they become so aware? They like to pick on me as well, what brutes they are, have they no morals?

      Anyways...on a lighter note, the usually insufferable Brian Mackintosh still peruses me, I am quite content remaining friends but he insists and i have given my heart to someone else but I can’t tell anyone that, it’s quite a predicament.
