  ༻ Naturally curly chocolate brown hair sits atop Matthew’s head. It's surprisingly soft and quite pleasing to touch - although he hates that. He keeps his hair short for the sake of keeping it low maintenance. Matthew doesn't really like to change things and hasn't altered his hair in any way. ༺

  ༻ Thanks to having a mixed ancestry of African and European, Matthew has nice tan skin that can be described as sunkissed. And because he doesn't involve himself in rough activities nowadays, his skin is clearer and smoother than it was years ago. He bears scars in many places that clash negatively with his skin tone but it's mostly hidden under his clothing. Matthew also has his fair share of freckles on his body. ༺

  ༻ A nice mixture of brown with green rims - hazel. With it being a fairly rare eye color, Matthew sometimes attracts stares during conversations. But the eye color is not uncommon in his family. His mother's side is famous for them whereas both his father and his family are known for a mixture of browns and blues. As for the shape, Matthew has slightly downturned eyes mixed with almond that are almost always half-lidded, which gives him a slightly bored/tired expression.༺

  ༻ Matthew stands at five feet and ten inches tall, average for his age, and weighs around one hundred fifty-five pounds. By no means is he a fit young male and his body is quite average in appearance. But he is somewhat skinny and lacks a lot of fat. ༺

  ༻ To describe his style in a few words, Matthew would use “simple, practical, consistent.” Rarely is he seen without some sort of long sleeve on - windbreakers, hoodies, etc. The same can be said with pants. Although every now and then the heat gets to him and he will wear shorts. Sometimes he gets teased for the lack of color and creativity that goes into his outfits. Especially as a kid, he wore the same thing because his mother and him could not afford much. Not that he cared. If it did its job, then that's all that mattered. The habit stuck with him over the years. Colors Matthew wears consists of neutral colors such as blue, black, brown, and green. Very rarely is he seen in bright, out-there colors.
  
  The same applies to his sleep wear. Long sleeves paired with neutral colored plaid bottoms. Simple and comfortable. ༺
  
  ༺ accessories. ˎˊ˗

  ༻ Glasses; prescription black rimmed glasses that he usually only wears when he is home. He believes it's too much of a hassle to carry and care for them in public. Will only use outside of home in rare cases that he is unable to use his clear contacts. Matthew also has several back-up glasses ranging - blue, green, and another black - just to be safe. He is quite good at caring for them and hasn't been forced to use one as a backup yet.
  Contacts; clear, prescriptions that he wears in public since it's easier to handle. No need to adjust them or clean them constantly like his glasses.
  Piercings; only his right ear and nasal septum is pierced. It wasn't professionally done and almost got infected. A fellow kid did it to him upon request. It was another twisted way for Matthew to feel in control of himself.
  Significant; A simple dark brown bracelet made out of leather given to him years ago from the elderly couple he used to assist after school. ༺
  
  ༺ voice. ˎˊ˗

  ༻ Matthew doesn't talk all that much, but when he does it comes out low in pitch and generally emotionless in tone. It makes him seem nonchalant and dispassionate about his surroundings- which is not false. The lack of emotion surprises people and aside from that, he sounds his age and gender. ༺
