THE MINOU

What is the minou?
The minou is a small, cat-like creature with bizarre magical capabilities not dissimilar to the fae that plague The Golden Tether during the migration. Despite its cute and cuddly appearance, it is not friendly, but it is also not outwardly hostile. It prefers to cause mischief with petty magic - this can be environmental, psychological or physical, but is by and large not harmful unless greatly threatened.
It is impossible to catch as it is capable of phasing through physical objects. It is capable of walking, but seems to prefer floating around.
Where did it come from?
The creature was part of a large shipment, contained in magic-suppressing cages. When the animals were delivered, one cage was open and suspiciously empty. It quickly became evident that the minou was somewhere on the ship given the weird, unexplained occurrences that began to crop up shortly after the empty cage was discovered.
Why does it stay on the ship?
It survives on flux. The ship generates and expels flux, and the minou is very food-motivated. It also seems to enjoy tormenting people for whatever reason.
What purpose does it serve?
It's just a little additional thing to keep RP interesting. It has the ability to do all manner of weird things. Beyond killing people and causing wide-scale damage to the ship, you can have the minou do just about anything to cause upset/hilarity/whatever else in your RP. Use it however you see fit. Your character will not be able to catch it, but they might find that it takes a shine to them if they have an affinity for the weird and wonderful.
