Frey the Sublime

History

• Biography

  Where Frey comes from originally is a mystery, even to him.
  While the colloquial term used today is amnesia... Frey is well aware actual amnesia doesn't work that way, and that his memory loss is definitely unnatural. There are many things about himself he simply knows, with no context, and strong memories past a certain point... which is not at all how brains are supposed to work.
  Sadly, he has no way of unpicking why his memories are so selectively incorrect or missing... and has long since ceased seeking the truth of his origin, suspecting he wouldn't like the answers.
  
  As to what background he does remember himself... he is willing only to impart the following:
  
  At some point in his upbringing, Frey's aptitude for art became the focus of his life. He is an accomplished painter, but finds far more joy in sculpting and whittling, preferring to get his hands on a canvas to mold.
  He has spent a long time mastering the classical arts and styles, and can even carve marble statues in Greek or Roman detail with a speed the ancients would have envied. He also paints many of his sculptures, in line once more with the actual practices of those civilizations long gone.
  
  Frey has never been one to stick to only one specialization, however, in his quest for beauty, truth and raw emotion. He studied brush techniques and writing in the orient as well as water color, while he spent time in many other Asian cultures, perfectly his clay work and pottery. In the Americas, he excelled in developing carving skills, and even spent some time in the United Kingdom learning how to duplicate and replicate anatomical drawings from the Victorian era.
  
  His clearest memories, for now, though revolve around the theatre.
  Frey has spent time in everything from scenery, to lighting, to costume and make up in various theatres across the multiverse, and took a particular liking to Kabuki masks during his last tour of the orient... an interest which led him to both a love of stories, color, symbolism... and an unusual set of powers.
