  She had been an orphan: always dreaming of the day she would leave her orphanage and discover if the stories she heard as a child were really true: such that towns existed where mages wielded magic, or that knights and paladins in shining armor rode galloping birds as their mounts. Even tales meant to warn children from wandering too far, or else they might end up in a hungry orc's belly didn't so much as inspire fear -- but wonder as her young imagination took over, filling in the blanks and sometimes playing out the adventures for herself.
  
  For this reason, it was perhaps no surprise that on her eighteenth birthday she made the decision to enter the training grounds, where hopeful novices were said to be recruited by King Tristant himself. What did come as a surprise was just how just how clumsy she felt with a knife in her hands, especially when aimed at the lowly monsters which served as her target. By the end of her training, there was no question when it came to reviewing her choices: while others went on to become swordsman, mages, and even archers, she herself would trade her novice clothes for the holy robes of an acolyte. From there she would begin her new life in Prontera.. but what happens next?
  
  Does Livasi go on to eventually complete her training in order to become a priestess? Or will there be a slight change of plans, and she eventually gives up her teachings to pursue the life of a warrior monk? Maybe she becomes the victim of something more sinister; or maybe, just maybe the tables turn and she becomes the monster, in the end.
  
  I'm willing to entertain all these possibilities and more, as long as they pertain to her general theme of being a clumsy acolyte who's new to adventuring, and maybe lets her naive optimism gets her (and her friends) into more trouble than she originally bargained for.
