Two Handed Fighting
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Kaja's strengths lie in her battle ready abilities, and none are more obvious that her affinity for the large weapon she makes herself most comfortable with. There are a variety of weapons that she can use, but instead she finds herself most at home with nothing more than both hands on a large weapon. This has made it easy for her to block and defend with little more than a battle axe, and she can wield two handed weapons with a surprising amount of dexterity. |
"One" Handed Fighting
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ While the arkaina has made herself familiar with a variety of weapons, she often finds herself in situations that are not exactly favored for a big, double handed weapon. Because of this, one handed weapons are often her go to choice for lighter, more dexteritious combat. She will often time wield two blades, and given her experience with two handed weapons, this is hardly a challenge. Out of the variety of one handed weapons, she has the most ease using longer bladed weapons, such as swords, and can be "clumsy" when it comes to using shorter weapons like axes and daggers. |

Archery
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ A skill that, for the most part, Kaja has only used for hunting. She prefers methods of combat that are more personal than archery, and has never quite managed to make herself dexterous enough to master the bow and arrow. Despite that, she is rather proficient with the weapon, and can hit large, still targets reliably. Smaller targets or ones that might be moving are harder, but she can certainly try. Definitely a last ditch choice of a weapon for the arkaina. |
Defensive Fighting
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Not exactly her cup of tea, but that doesn't mean she hasn't experienced it. Defensive fighting implies fighting with a shield, or specifically using that shield for purely defensive purposes, such as blocking arrows, defending against strikes, etc. Kaja has limited experience with this, as she tends to be a purely offensive fighter, but definitely has the strength necessary to defend against blows and arrows. When using defensive tactics, she prefers a shield bash over everything else. |

Bare Knuckle Fighting
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ Any viking worth their salt has gotten drunk and gotten into more than a few fist fights in their day. Kaja is no different. While she excels at fighting with a weapon, there's no doubt htr arkaina has quite a lot of battle experience. She is just as formidable with her fists as she is with an axe. She packs enough strength to make a punch dangerous, as well as enough stamina to take hits and keep on swinging. She is no master of the bare knuckle arts, and has no experience in formal fighting methods (such as karate), but has the potential of quickly learning some. |
Sailing
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ A skill that every viking should know, but for the most part has been absent in Kaja's life. She has spent a few decades of her long life saling on the open sea, but had yet to acquire any "impressive" skills. While she certainly knows how to handle a boat, and maybe do some pirating on the ocean, she has little idea how to navigate, chart a journey, or really anything that a captain might due. Definitely more suited for a First Mate or Quartermaster than a Captain. |

Healing
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ Expert Those experienced with healing magic can easily heal wounds of all types. Arkaines possess regenerative abilities like many species, but can also focus this energy outwards and to others. By placing her hands on a wound, her own or someone else's, Kaja can focus her energy to heal wounds of all sizes, with time. She cannot, however, heal those that are on the brink of death, nor can she give them life again. |
Psychokinesis
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Proficent The rarest, and arguably most powerful, ability an arkaine can have. The ability to manipulate objects or matter with the mind. Without proper training, it can often be impossible to do anything with this skill, though that doesn't mean natural ability won't shine through. This skill can range from simply picking up objects to skilled users using it to shield themselves, or even levitate. |

Telepathy
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Proficent The power to mentally receive and/or transmit information. This does not mean that Arkaine can read minds (they can't). Most Arkaines who possess this power can only make a mental connection with their own species, however, those who are gifted enough can also make connections with others. |
Precognition
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Competent The ability to see what's going to happen before it does when looking through a crystal. This power takes a lot of focus and energy to perform, however, it can be focused to learn something specific if the user is strong enough. Depending on the strength and practice of this power, Arkaines may be able to see anywhere between a few minutes to many years ahead. However, this future isn't set in stone, as any variable can change. |
