Mishmash of man and beast, but no fabulous, glossy story-book legend here. Sleek black coat, skin tan where it wasn't covered in strange, barbaric symbols, hair, long on top, shaved on sides, swept back and gathered at nape, the whole a deep, dark red as though applied over black hair.

Oblong face with heavy jaw that bore no beard, half covered with more of the bizarre tattoo, a thick half ring through his nose, ears bearing thick wooden plugs and a random assortment of other jewelry.
Mane was pulled back and gathered at the back of his head by a leather cord, the thick mass falling down to lower back of human torso, a smattering of braids throughout that sported various bone and glass beads, or here and there a feather, the sides of his head shaved bald.
Tail was left undyed and when not in battle, left loose to fall about his hocks. He was something wild, baring teeth in a macabre grin at those that looked too long in his direction, an exotic beast from wild lands that still worshiped fire as a god.
