• Species information

  

  i. Subspecies of demon.
  ii. The continent they inhabit is called Thana.
  iii. Feed off the blood of other demons.
  iv. Governs as a monarchy.
  v. Vexx can only be created by a highborn, as they carry the power given to them by their familiar.
  vi. Vexx are generally tall, lithe, fair skinned creatures with long fine hair and pointed ears.
  vii. Taller ears signify older age.
  viii. Length of hair signifies status.
  ix. If a highborn cuts their hair, or has their hair cut, it is punishable by banishment or removal of titles, even if against their will.
  x. Prophecy foretells of a true Vexx that will be born with black eyes and razor sharp teeth, white hair and scaled. When they arrive, the Vexx will usurp the demon throne, with this child as their heir.
  xi. The Vexx are comprised of different, smaller houses. Each house has a sigil, and that sigil is the familiars of that land.
  xii. For the past 800 years, the Vexx have all been unified under the House of the Bat, relatively peaceful.
  xiii. Within the past 10 years, raids and rebellions have started, due to the prophecy each house views differently. Some see it as a bad omen, and wish to destroy the house foreseen to carry this child.

  Feeding

  i. Can live hundreds to thousands of years if kept fed.
  ii. Feeding doesn't add to their power, though it adds to their longevity, perception, reflexes, etc.

  Familiar

  i. Each highborn is gifted a familiar.
  ii. Vexx gain their power from their familiar, as a whole and individually.
  iii. Familiars range from wolves, bats, owls, spiders, rats, and black cats.
  iv. Familiars carry the souls of ancient Vexx, housed in the body of a genderless, eternal creature.
  v. The death of any familiar is a grave crime, and also a huge loss to the species.

  

  i. Lords of the Night.
  ii. Capital of the continent the Vexx inhabit.
  iii. Located in the center of the rest of the Houses, and is the largest.

  

  i. Lords of the Hunt.
  ii. This is one of the toughest Houses to find, as it lies deep within a vast forest.

  

  i. Lords of Flight.
  ii. Most passive of the Houses.
  iii. Smallest house, priding themselves on their lack of poverty.

  

  i. Lords of Venom.
  ii. Primarily use poisons.

  

  i. Lords of Plague.
  ii. Specialize in some of the most ruthless torture.
  iii. Responsible for some of the biggest plagues that spread across the continent.

  

  i. Lords of the Stalk.
  ii. Generally the most well informed House, priding themselves in having spies lingering in every House.
