A calm and reserved man, Quin grew up in a small village in the south of England, in the picturesque region of Cornwall. From a young age it was clear he was not ‘one of the lads’ as he had no interest in taking part in activities with his peers. Instead, he found company in the form of books, getting lost in the stories inked upon parchment and diving into worlds of fantasy. Being an only child, his parents would often cater to their sons wants, though over time his self isolation put some distance between him and his parents. They eventually each came to pass, leaving their son with a sizeable, though not over the top inheritance, yet their absence suddenly brought upon Quin the realization of how very alone he was. Opting to try and expand his horizons, he set about travelling, with intent to gain a richer knowledge of the world.. and to collect as many books in the process as he could, of course.
