'Cove Watch'
Tortoise Cove is a small town located at the nook of a coastline. The city's commercial district is fairly small, made up of a few small office buildings. Shops, restaurants and pubs break up corporate façade. Staunch leafy trees line most sidewalks, even in the most busy areas.
Residential neighborhoods surround the business district. Large homes line up in rows, some with large backyards. Most have small pools. The weather here is warm and often sunny. Apartment complexes made of long, three or four story buildings take up space near parks and shopping centers. Several public pools are spread across town.
The township is most famous for its pristine beaches. There are built up areas with simple resorts and oceanside entertainment. There are also more quiet beaches, with clean sand and low traffic. Tourists flock to Tortoise Cove each summer. A row of hotels along one segment of the beach houses most visitors.
Cordell Stoddard works as a lifeguard for much of the year. In the fall, he works at an indoor pool. Cordell also works at a beach and city pool during the summer. It's a great way for him to be outdoors and meet people. He's worked the job for a few years during his time off of school. Cordell just became a shift supervisor, responsible for coordinating with and organizing other lifeguards. -
