Twin Turtle Ranch

• The House

  Nestled in the woods of Northern Wyoming, a good hour's drive along the highway South from Sheridan lies the Twin Turtle Ranch. A six bedroom mansion on the Southern tip of the Bighorn Mountains, on roughly 150,000 acres of owned land with nearly 40,000 head of cattle. Twin Turtle holds just under a hundred employees in work lodges on both the east and west side of the ranch as well as half a dozen who maintain the main house and the office wing.

• The House/Office Staff

  Ranch Manager-- Dain Morgan
  Taking up the mantle of leader after his predecessor's murder, Dain is a successful businessman with experience in ranch management in his home state of California. A bit of a city boy and overly fond of urban comfort, he's in entirely new territory and not necessarily well liked by his fellow ranch employees.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Veena Sweetgrass
  Employed unofficially by Keta, Veena is an old school friend who's father owns a large feed store in the nearby town. Serving as an assistant to Keta, she's more or less split between work at the ranch and managing the feed store for her father. An opinionated young woman with a bit of a wild streak, she demands and accepts nothing less than absolute respect and isn't afraid to knock heads together to get it.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Benedict Redwing
  A veteran of the Army Rangers, Benedict is in charge of security at the ranch and extremely efficient in his job. A loner by nature of his training, he intimidates most of the ranch hands with his gruff and silent nature. There is a running bet among the younger workers over how many people he's killed. He changes the number to suit him when dealing with more rowdy employees in order to leave them uncertain and wary.   Lona Peters
  The Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef at Twin Turtle. Along with a handful of employees, Lona oversees all cuisine at the ranch for both the Household and the Ranch Workers. Lona is a gentle woman with a warm heart and easy smile. She is patient and weathers everyone's moods and troubles with a steady and caring nature and seems to get along easily with everyone.

• The Ranch Staff

  Andrea McCray
  The resident Vet at the Ranch and stable manager for the Ranch's considerable number of horses needed for herding and traversing the difficult terrain of the Twin Turtle. An intelligent woman with a head for business as well as medicine, Andrea keeps pace easily with all that goes on in the Ranch and juggles it along with guarding and caring for the animals. Keta has a deep admiration for Andrea, who's family has been in the area nearly as long as her own, and both built their legacy from nothing.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Joshua Fowler
  The Herd Manager, a troublemaker who only makes up for the difficulty in dealing with him by the extreme attention he pays to his job. He earned the trust of Keta's father, and so Keta continues to tolerate him. In his off time, he's often found at the town bar, causing trouble.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Mateo New Eagle
  Keta's second cousin, who ran into trouble in Montana and came to the Ranch for help. He takes a job as a ranch hand and eventually finds himself promoted to Assistant Ranch Manager.
