➤Born to royalty in his kingdom, he lived in his older brother's shadow, never expected much of. Aeden always tried to tell his younger brother that there was purpose and dignity in being royalty, no matter if he was heir or not, insisting on being an heir was much harder than many thought. But Vaeril wasn't buying it, his young head still filled with grand ideas of what a king was. He spent his early years being a nuisance to the royal staff, neglecting his studies, and generally trying to get attention, whether it was bad or not. It wasn't until the young prince was around ten that his older brother was suddenly gone from his life, having deserted his post, was labeled a traitor, and Vaeril was expected to take his place as the heir to the throne. For years he resented Aeden for abandoning him since Vaeril was forced to lead the life that his older brother had for so long. With the entire kingdom shunning his sibling, it seemed only natural for Vaeril too as well, but something didn't feel right. He had missed so much of the going-ons in the castle, hadn't paid attention to the arguments his brother had often had with their parents, had missed the hurt in his brother's eyes whenever he spoke of his duty. If only he had noticed, he might have been able to stop what had transpired.
Decades later and Vaeril was blossoming into a young warrior prince, filling his pre-destined role with chagrin, many rumors about his capabilities flitting around the kingdom. It wasn't until he began drowning in the politics, economic endeavors, and military maneuvers that he realized the truth: the reason his brother must have fled. His lovely, brilliant life was built on the suffering of his own people, of the manipulation of other magical species, and the destruction of life as their armies sought control over the magical world. For the first time, he understood. Vaeril too fled from his duties, but masked it beneath the desire to experience the human realm, making a deal with his parents that he would return once he felt he had gathered enough knowledge to properly understand the other species that existed in the world, insisting it necessary for his education.
So he left on his journey, determined to find his brother, to perhaps get some answers to the questions he still had. Taking up his Harpy Eagle Sora, the pet he had taken care of since he was a teenager, the pair found themselves in a foreign world with foreign concepts. Technology, buildings, advancements, it was all horrible and amazing. He soon found he needed the world's currency, setting up an apothecary shop called 'Portable Potents' with the small savings his parents had gifted him for his journey. He currently mans the shop as he carefully searches for the answers he seeks.
