If someone had said that the sharp-tongued and ambitious Viveka Ivarson would find herself among the prestigious Falk family decades ago, every Get would have laughed in your face, Viveka included. From a young age, the kinfolk proved rebellious to the tribe's traditional patriarchal ways. The Elders called her "uppity", a foolish girl who needed to learn her place with a theurge father who was too soft-hearted to bring her into line. Instead of shrinking back into the role of dutiful daughter, however, Viveka grew ever more defiant, going so far as to pursue a human education. When she returned to the Caern several years later with a degree and an ancient artifact not entirely of human origins, Viveka's red-painted smirk was shameless. Not even a week had passed before she returned to her eventful life outside the tribe. It soon became well-known that she came and went as she pleased.

Such independence and uncompromisingly strong will inevitably caught the attention of a young ahroun, Gunnar Falk, the latest in a long line of powerful warriors, the subject of many tales and glorious battles. To no one's shock save his own, Viveka rejected him with utmost nonchalance when he expressed interest in her. What followed was a years' long torrid courtship, ending only when Gunnar acquiesced to Viveka's demands that she continue to live her own life separate from the affairs of the Garou even as she bore them its next generation of cubs.

In time, Viveka bore four children, three boys and one girl. By a rare breed of luck, her two eldest sons both turned out to be Garou, and continued to expand upon the Falk reputation with their strength and prowess. When her sons Ranulf and Einar went to root out corruption and claim a Caern in LA, Viveka stayed behind with her work, organizing archaeological research findings and making lessons plans as a college professor. Her children were full grown and could handle themselves. Some years later when Ranulf fell under harano, however, Viveka came to LA to help take care of her young granddaughter Aspen. Though tensions have remained high between mother and son since her arrival, Viveka has remained with her family. Unfortunately for Ranulf, Viveka has grown closer to his own daughter than he ever could.
