Arachnia Noxis

The Mother

  Arachnia is daughter to Arakis Noxis, a spider-like woman from a distant land who goes by the name of Araka. Sadly, Araka had never learned what her kind were called, naming herself an 'Araknid' for lack of knowledge on her own species. Thus, Arachnia, too, has adopted the term Araknid. Due to hardships in Araka's life, Arachnia's parent is unknown and believes that Arakis is her one and only parent despite having some visible differences to Araka.
  
  
  Arachnia is still rather naive, young, and arrogant. She believes herself a Mother, a Queen, to all spiders and imposes her command upon them. An ability which Araka lacked. While Arachnia does appear bold, she tends to have a similar personality to her mother and remains distant from crowds. She shows caution and patience, though can act aggressively if she believes she is in a superior position. She is also very territorial and possessive, though her calm demeanor may not betray this.

• The Spider-Mother

  A Spider-Mother, by title alone, would suggest one who gives birth to and raises spiders of any sort. In this, the title is only partially correct. They are more akin to priestesses that maintain powerful sanctuaries for healing, and to provide safety and advice to those that enter their sanctuaries. Though these sanctuaries are covered in small spiders that obey a Mother's every command. A Spider-Mother hardly, if ever, gives birth to any spiderling or child of their own. Their command over arachnids is nearly absolute. Anything with human-level intellect, however, is resistant to a Spider-Mother's commands, but not immune to the empathic abilities they often possess.
  
  In her hubris, the young and arrogant Arachnia claims herself to be a Spider-Mother. Though the manner in which she conducts herself, her need to be in control, often raises delusions of this would-be Queen. Spider-Mother in title only, she holds no Empathic or Order-Weaving abilities and what little of these she does have is inherited by being her mother's daughter. Living beneath a shadow and not being granted full use of her abilities is a sore and displeasing topic.
