Silas stands at the towering height of 6’4”, casting a shadow over any who stand before him with a vibe nothing short of intimidating. There something inherently haunting about this man as his presence will trigger the flight of fight instinct. He often appears out of thin air, without a sound; stepping out of the shadows when no one is the wiser. Merely a glance at the state of his person indicates that he is either homeless or a man down on his luck. Having no place in society, but would be at home deep in the forest like any other hermit. The reputation of being socially inept follows him thanks to those who judge others. This is closer to the truth – a mere beast masquerading as man yet adapting quickly under the circumstances.
Silas’s personality, in the first impression of a encounter, is that is calm, collected, considerate, and peculiar in his actions. He presents himself as confident, diligent, and lonely. Most recently, he is a heartbroken man who lost someone he cared for deeply. On occation he may even be very conservative, traditional, and even a hopeless romantic. Yet, some of these traits only exist in him from observation of those around him, of actions of man or the preference of his previous owner. Deep down, he is a beast in nature who operates of territorial and selfish instants fitting for an animal. A leash can hold back a hound for only so long.

Conflicts & DesiresSilas finds himself troubled about humanity. He has bouts of prideful confidence, lack of remorse, murderous desires, and animalistic tendencies – then brood about the confusion between being a beast within human skin. The only thread that keeps him connected to a state of consciousness is his loyalty for his owner. But even now, he has found himself fascinated by the world that he has discovered with his new eyes, wanting to intermingle it even more despite his true mission. In truth, he may be enticed by ‘experiences’ he never had the chance in partaking in when he was a mere beast.
He finds himself greatly enjoying the pleasures and vices of mankind. Whiskey, smoking, rock n’ roll/jazz music, and hard work. One way he found to see the foundations and workings of humanity is to hitchhike. There, he can find a wide range of man. Those good, those bad, and those in-between. There is one instance where he finds himself blanching at the mere thought. Intercourse. To be in such a situation is something he would particularly wish to avoid. A beast lying with a female human? Even to him – it is distasteful. He does not find the human body appealing whatsoever.
There are two instances where Silas will find himself in a feral state. One, of course, is where he is overcome with anger. Another is in the time of a thunderstorm. In either scenario – Silas will shift into the shape caught between man and beast. Standing at his usual height, his head will turn one of a hound with a maw of fangs, skin become overgrown with black fur, and fingers ending in claws. Only the voice of his owner or the magic user who has bind him may snap him out of this stupor or present commands where he will fill them out to in detail. He will only shift back when the high emotions have run their course, exhausted but with a full stomach.
