Denim Jeans

Standing at around 5ft 9in, DJ is a slim yet toned demonic male appearing in his 20's who, although often changes his appearance, restricts himself to choose between two forms of appearance - a human form (A fabrication of his former self), and his true demon form, the latter of which, he is rarely ever seen in.

DJ's human form is that of a white caucasian male with very dark brown hair that is often mistaken for black.

DJ's demon form features snow/paper-white hair, crimson-red skin, two horns that protrude from his forehead horizontally; sharply bending into an asymmetrical V-shape with the pointed end as the longest, and a demon tail long enough to loop around in a circle of roughly 28 inches in diameter from spawn to tip.

However, regardless of form, some things remain the same. His eyes are a good example. DJ's attempts at recreating human eyes have often failed, thus causing him to not bother completely, and simply cover up his demonic eyes with a pair of black polarised biker shades/sunglasses. He also sports a mohawk styled hairdo with a small fringe, two piercings in his right ear, one on his lobe, the other on his outer conch, a black with red outlines and cuffs denim crop long-sleeve jacket, red leather fingerless biker gloves, black/navy-blue denim jeans with zippers attached at the knee for shorts capabilities, and finally, grey and black high topped sneakers with red lacing.

He also wears silver chain bracelets on each wrist, and dog tags on a chain with his name engraved onto them; the Fire Chainz insignia (Two chains links linked together with flames coming off them) printed on the back. As well as this, he has a branding scar on his right forearm depicting the Fire Chainz insignia with a king's crown on top of it, slanted. Tattoos also adorn his lower abdomen, lower back, and shoulder.

DJ is often commented by those who dislike him as being brash, obscene, obnoxious, idiotic and outright crude and unrestrained. He often acts with a bravado typical of a hoodlum gangster, being quite rebellious to most authority figures, as well as being perverted and often seeming lust-driven towards the opposite sex.

However, underneath this bravado, is a kind-hearted and caring individual who's loyal and looks out for those he deems his loved ones and is often chilled out and banter-loving. Despite how affectionate he can be, he is prone to losing his temper and often "shoots first, asks questions later" to a majority of situations.

Although he is sometimes predictable with his reactions, he tends to win most confrontations due to sheer brutish and often dumbfounding and idiotic solutions that could be considered unpredictable. But his short temper comes from his past in Hell and being rejected when re-emerging on Earth, a fear which he carries to this day; to the point of near anxiety.

Another word of caution, DJ has been known to be quite the adrenaline junkie. Street races and fights tend to be a big draw for DJ, evident by his chosen car, Low Grind. An old but pimped out and ridiculously low black Dodge Charger with a red line going all around the car then forming the shape of a flame on both sides. A hemi sticks out of the top of the hood, attached to a V12 engine and 3 exhausts are positioned either side of the car. As well as this, it also has wide titanium spinner rims and wide tires, a rear spoiler, a collapsible roof, hydraulics, nitrous, white leather interior and finally, a killer sound system.

Growing up on the border of the ghettos of Daten City, DJ was born into a normal human middle-working class family. His father was a small-time prosecution lawyer, with a big dream; revitalise and decriminalise the ghettos of D.C.

For the most part, DJ had quite a normal life and often found friends within the African-American and Hispanic communities that lived in the ghettos themselves, including the odd Caucasian family here and there. One of which later became best and close friends with, Tyrone Brand. An African-American boy living with his widowed mother, after his father lost his life in the army. DJ's father found this to be the pillar for his goal, so his son and his friend could grow up to have a better life than that the ghettos normally provided.

However, during his mission, he began to make quite a few enemies within the ghettos. More than once he was sent to the hospital for injuries sustained because of the gang violence he was trying to eradicate. Even DJ began to be a victim of such events. Kids who DJ considered friends or acquaintances turned on DJ and began to try to beat him senseless. Fortunately for him, his friendship with Tyrone prepared him for this. So unlike his father, who couldn't defend himself efficiently, DJ fought back in self-defense. This, however, started to cause friction in the once peaceful household; DJ's mother and father consistently argued whenever DJ came home with fresh cuts and bruises. His father, however, kept the fight in DJ alive; saying "Those who wield fear as a weapon, are those who are living in fear themselves.". DJ was very aware as to his father's job and his goal, not by choice but knowledgeable none the less, and so honored his father's ambition by not giving in to others who were trying to get them to back down.

Then, one night, just a few days after his tenth birthday, a gang decided to Molotov the family home as a last-ditch effort to eradicate DJ's father. The ensuing fire spread through the house quickly; and before any of them could make it out safely, they quickly perished. Including DJ.

When DJ finally awoke, he saw nothing but a bright light and an empty space of pure white; minus a lone chair which he was sat in. DJ wondered where he was, to which, a little note fluttered down to him which read: "Limbo". This confused DJ. He believed he should be in Heaven with his mother and father. To which, another note fluttered down. "Violence". This both stumped and angered the young DJ; he believed himself to be in the right, claiming they started it. He then began to angrily question the heavens, asking if he was just supposed to just simply lay down and take it, let them beat him to a pulp. Near the end of his argument, another note came: "Repent". At this, he lost it. He screamed, questioning if he regrets beating them back. To which he quickly responds that he doesn't. Since they started it and they hurt him first, then he should have every right to defend himself. There would be a short pause before a black note came fluttering down. However, this one had blood-red writing and simply said: "Hell". Once young DJ read this, the floor underneath him disappeared and he began to fall to what looks to be an all-consuming fiery abyss.

When he finally stopped falling, he quickly became horrified at the sight around him. Screams of anguish and terror filled his ears, images of torture confronted his eyes. Soon enough, the Devil appeared before him. He tried to escape but was quickly restrained. The Devil's associates were all suggesting things that they could do; however, the Devil saw what DJ was and decided it would be more sadistic to turn him into the very thing he wasn't or wanted to be; a demon. So, against his will, he turned him into one of his subjects; and when DJ saw his reflection as to what he had become, he was mortified. And from that moment on, he vowed that one day he would get revenge on the Devil and Heaven for what they had done to him.

A few years passed, DJ had already tried escaping several times over the course of his demon training. This earned him the nickname: "The Runaway Demon". However, one time during training, he noticed a high ranking commander torturing a lost soul. He decided to use what he had learned and knocked the commander out; looting his key for the soul's shackles and setting it free under the condition that it caused a massive, Hell-wide scene. To which, the lost soul did to experiential proportions. However, sneaking away from his training was the only aspect DJ didn't think about. The chiefs and guards were already on the lookout for him. But, thankfully for DJ, the ensuing chaos meant, for the most part, that his escape went off without a hitch. But with the exit in sight, a high ranking demon known as Corset spotted him and gave chase with a few others. They'd almost caught him if it weren't for the lost soul DJ helped to tackle them. He looked back and yelled his thanks as he slipped through the threshold between Hell and Earth, one of his many escapades finally being successful.

Now finally on Earth once more, he decided to make tracks to the one place he knew best; Daten City. More specifically, his family home. However, he quickly realised that a demon may attract some unwanted attention. Thus, he used his training and did his best to reform his human look. But even with the time he spent in Hell, he never was able to master eye colour or shape, thus, while the rest of him looked human, his demon eyes remained. He thought he should find some sunglasses to hide them.

When he eventually made it to his chosen destination, he found nothing but ashes and ruins. All he could recover was a partly burnt 6x4 family portrait and his father's Zippo lighter, which his father often used to smoke after an overly stressful day of work. Taking these with him, he made for somewhere, anywhere, to sleep and stay. Meanwhile, managing to purloin a pair of sunglasses that were a little big for him. Ending up fruitless, he slept in an ally underneath the slightly jutting out roof of a store in one of the roughest ghettos in D.C. Using nothing but a little bit of thrown out tarp as a blanket and an old, nearly rotting coat for a pillow.

Just then, a middle-aged borderline elderly man found him in the early hours of the morning. He had several teeth missing, one eye that seemed bigger than the other, and talked in somewhat of a southern accent. He seemed like your typical "crazy hillbilly". Taken aback by being woken up by this strange man, DJ feared him at first. But amidst his crazy rabbling about DJ sleeping rough, he actually offered him to stay with him. DJ, thinking anywhere was better than here, graciously accepted.

From that moment on, the old man later introduced himself as Henry, however, noted that everyone just called him "Ol' Pops" and DJ began to make a name for himself, working for various gangs. Something Ol' Pops didn't seem to mind, as surprisingly, he was very involved in a few. Apparently, Ol' Pops made a habit of plucking people off the street.

The gang members that came to see him, people he had rescued from the hobo's way of living. It was also at Ol' Pops's place that DJ found a love for the guitar, and joined up with his very first gang, The D.C. Cru. A small gang, but very much making a name for itself back in the day. It was also through the D.C Cru that DJ first took a liking to rap music, tried smoking for the first time, and the gang life in general.

However, he quickly realised that he was doing the exact same things his dad was trying to eradicate. So, he decided to try doing it for good rather than fully selfish reasons. However, some of his actions didn't go down so well with his gangmates. One night, they discovered him in an ally in demon form. They retorted and rejected him, the mere sight of his demon form made the others be absolutely disgusted, and from then, kicked him out of the gang. This left him emotionally vulnerable for the first time in a while. So much so, he built up emotional walls around himself and shut himself away for a while.

However, during this time, he was reunited with his old friend; Tyrone. He was obviously amazed and baffled on how his friend had survived. DJ decided to lie and tell him he escaped just in time. Despite this lie, which he secretly knew was a lie, Tyrone helped DJ break the walls down enough for him to let other people in again. To which, he joined the gang Tyrone had found himself in.

Surely enough though, DJ's past repeated itself. The gang found out about DJ's secret and kicked him from the gang. It was at this point, after DJ's initial hurt, that DJ had decided he had enough of being kicked out of gangs, pushed around and the way most gangs treated one another & the people around them; he disliked it majorly. So, one night, himself and Tyrone decided to form their own gang; one dedicated to making the streets and ghettos a better place, and a place where ALL could be accepted and loved. This gang, after some brainstorming, became to be known as The Fire Chainz. The premise is that all who joined were a family; each individual, one loop, linked together like a chain. And if anybody got in their way, they'd get badly burned. DJ often commented on the irony of the name, noting that it was fire and gang violence that took his family away. Now, he was using the same to bring both vengeance, peace and tranquillity to the streets. But he would often follow it by he's doing his father's work, just a different way. Fighting fire with fire so to say.

After a year or so, DJ had managed to gain quite a decent following; along with some places that, under his 'rule', were somewhat starting to prosper, even DJ himself was prospering; procuring an old Dodge Charger from the scrapheap, fixing it up, then pimping it out. It later became known as Low Grind, because of how low DJ requested his suspension to be ridiculously low to the ground. But somehow, DJ's mad idea worked.

Ghosts, however, were always a constant pest. Thugs his boys could handle, but Ghosts always managed to crop up in the most inopportune times. However, DJ had one unknown trick up his sleeve. Angel Elixir. In the space of the year after he formed his gang, he'd managed to find someone in the Black Market that sold this stuff and, one evening decided to throw caution to the wind and throw his weapons into a bathtub full.

His initial thought is that they'd be purified and destroyed. What he didn't expect, was them to have their demonic effects simply nullified and instead give off a dull greyish glow, as opposed to their normal black with yellow outlines glow. Carefully retrieving them from the tub and drying them, he soon discovered he could use these newly temporarily blessed weapons to kill Ghosts; when a Ghost invaded his home and tried to kill him. However, unlike the proper angelic weapons, they didn't make the Ghosts killed by them drop Heaven Coins. All it seemed to do was make them evaporate and vanish as if they'd been erased from further existence.

DJ didn't mind this though, he'd worked out how to get rid of a thorn in his side. During one encounter though, he bumped into the well known Anarchy Sisters, Panty & Stocking. Two angels, he'd had his eye on for a while, though he never thought he'd meet them in person. After the encounter, he and his gang started to make conversation. DJ passed off his ability to utilise angelic/demonic weapons by saying he was the kid of an angel and a human. Panty and DJ hit it off almost instantly and, by the end of the night, had a one night stand; or several.

After that day, Fire Chainz & the two sisters became close allies. DJ, even though he was having frequent one night stands with Panty, eventually grew close friends to Stocking; after the pair had numerous heart-to-heart moments together.

However, Panty & Garterbelt soon started to grow quite suspicious of DJ. One night, the two sisters were on the prowl for Ghosts when they noticed ruckus coming from an alleyway. They investigated to discover DJ in his demon form, scaring away a thug. The pair were shocked. Panty, for the most part, was disgusted that she let him have sex with her. Stocking, on the other hand, was hurt that he'd lied to her; thinking that since he knew she fell in love with a Ghost once, he should have been able, to be honest about himself. He begged for their forgiveness, pleading with them not to leave, that he could explain. The sisters, mainly Panty, were having none of it. Then, in a fit of rage, he shouted to them to go away; just like everyone else. They left him stranded on his own in the alleyway. Stocking with tears in her eyes. Panty, furious. DJ, once again; broken and feeling alone.

A few months went by, during which, DJ became both obsessed with trying to gain their affections once again and blind to his gang's own attempts of affection towards him. He tried everything from flowers to asking them out for drinks or coffee. Attempt after attempt, and being shot down each time, whittled away what was left of his sanity to the point he decided to go up to the church; one last time.

It was around late night time, DJ had been spending the day sat outside the church reminiscing. Panty & Stocking drove passed him and parked just outside. Panty told Stocking to wait inside, that she'd deal with him; just like all the times before. Initially, she was annoyed that DJ for some reason didn't know what no meant. When she asked why he insisted on coming back, he told her everything. His family's arson, his desperate struggle to escape Hell. Everything. Panty was stunned after hearing this, unsure how to react. But she needn't to. Because before she could even react, DJ knelt on the road, summoned his Angel Elixir coated gun; which was styled like an AA-12, and put the barrel to his lips.

Meanwhile, disobeying her sister's orders and staying outside, hearing and seeing the whole event, Stocking sprung into action; running as fast as she could. And just after DJ said what would be his parting words, which were: "It was nice...what we had... I'll miss it... Tell Stockin' I wish her well. An'...goodbye..." Stocking threw one of her katanas at DJ's gun, disarming DJ and in a flash, pulled DJ into a sorrowful sobbing embrace. DJ was purely shocked by this, but he eventually pulled Stocking into a tight embrace. Just then his gang turned up. He questioned why they were here; to which they explain that they already knew DJ was a demon and followed him anyway. Saying he's done a lot more good than anybody ever did in taking the streets under his wing for the better.

Finally, after all these years, he was accepted for him, not discriminated against by what he was. He and Stocking a week later got together. He also embraced his demon side a lot more than once before, even going as far as to go on the missing list for a while to break into Hell again, steal a chopper motorcycle he remembered seeing and liking the look of, then escaping again whilst riding said motorcycle. This motor later became known as Hell Runner in tribute to this feat.

Hell Runner looked like your classic chopper motorcycle; big, long handles, far back and low seat, feet pads, etc. However, for decoration on the front was a skull with chains ending in spikes by the tires forming the bars the handles were attached to. It also could read who was riding it; angel, human, ghost or demon, and force them into their own forms. Also depending on who is riding it, the flames that it produces in the eyes of the skull and on the tires change. Blue and white for an angel, normal orange for a human, ghostly reddish black for a ghost, and black with yellow outlines for a demon. It is possible to have two flames at once, simply by having a driver and passenger of different species.

However, his and Stocking's relationship fell apart after about 2 years, but not badly. They still are the closest of friends and, although Panty's word does hold some weight, Stocking's word is still very much highly regarded and respected within the ranks of the Fire Chainz thanks to her relationship with DJ.

For DJ, it was fairly easy to find songs to describe him. Turns out, badass bad boy types are fairly popular. Who knew? Anyway, enjoy.
