GENERAL |NAME| 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕊𝕔𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕤𝕥 Wilson P. Higgsbury 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓝𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓶𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰 Percival (alternate persona he assumes when consumed by the shadows from the Nightmare Throne) |NICKNAMES| 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕊𝕔𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕤𝕥 Madman, Idiot at Play, Percy (familial affectionate nickname) , Percival (often used formally by family), Scientist, more to come... 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓝𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓶𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰 Shadow King, Lord of the Shadows, King of the Constant, more to come... |D.O.B.| April 23rd |BIRTHPLACE| Indeterminate due to quantum oddities. |APPARENT AGE| Wilson looks to be in his mid to late 30s, however, he does not age due to the curse he received from his time within the Constant as well as his time served upon the Nightmare Throne. |SPECIES| Human |NATIONALITY| English |GENDER| Male |SEXUALITY| Demisexual |RELATIONSHIP| Wilson is nearly incapable of sustaining a long term, much less healthy relationship with anyone. He's far too involved with his projects, his research, and, truth be told, himself. He is also a bit of an awkward social shut in. However, his alter ego, Percival, is far more bombastic and has no qualms with the occasional tryst, but commitment isn't either versions strong point. |
PHYSICAL |HEIGHT| 5'6" |WEIGHT| Unknown as he tends to fluctuate, though obviously underweight. |BUILD| Lithe, sylph-like physique, with a wiry, albeit athletic frame. Trim, but cut due to his survivor's lifestyle. |SKIN| Pale, sickly, and pallid with dark circles beneath his sunken eyes. It is likely due to the amount of time spent shut away from the world while conducting his questionable experiments. |SCARS| Wilson is covered in a variation of scars -- scars bestowed upon him by many failed experimentations, one as a reminder for each death suffered within the Constant, and some of which that are likely self inflicted. |TATTOOS| In one particular modern AU, Wilson has a pair of Koi fish on his left arm. To him, they represent a much needed perseverance for a man who's mind is always on the brink of utter madness. |EYES| Pitch black under normal circumstances, red when the shadow king's emotions run high, and silver when the king is pacified. |HAIR| Raven, at times with streaks of grey or red, and when consumed by the throne's thrall, a mass of darkness that wavers like the shadows he keeps. |SCENT| A musky aroma of intrigue, something poignant, self-important, a bouquet of mania, and chilling intelligence. It's the sort of alarming emanation that wreaks of genius, coastal citrus, sea mist, clean woods, and lunacy. |VOICE| Articulate with careful enunciation, and at times can be soft spoken with a lilting English accent, while others he carries a vibrancy like that of an excitable trumpet! |
FAMILIAL |PARENTS| Robert Higgsbury and Victoria Higgsbury (Wilson has also spent time with his grandfather and grandmother Robert and Margaux Wagstaff as well as his supernatural enthusiast and estranged uncle, Waylon Warbucks) |WEALTH| No matter the era or AU, the Higgsbury family is one of affluence, prosperity, and status. Their plenitude was due to familial perseverance despite an incident that claimed Wagstaff's company, Voxola Radio. They have long since recovered and remain of noble stature. |SIBLINGS| Wilson P. Higgsbury is an only child and sometimes it shows... |CHILDREN| No children as of yet! |EDUCATION| Wilson is a self-educated man with some time in the university, but his independent studies were more attuned with his own academic pursuits and thus the struggling prodigy focused mostly on the sciences. His mind is perpetually eager to embrace the prospect of new knowledge whether or not it is trivial factoids or groundbreaking secrets to a parallel world. |OCCUPATION| A gentleman scientist, Wilson has never really held any official job despite his father's efforts to bring him into the family business, and considering his family's stature, he was able to become fully immersed in his research venture without financial concerns. This had a negative impact on his social capabilities, and his parents foresaw this and the recluse their son inevitably became. |ALIGNMENT| Wilson's alignment is at the whims of his sanity, much like the rest of his chaotic life. |
PERSONALITY |DEFINING TRAITS| Wilson along with his alter ego, Percival the Shadow King, share very similar, and at times, erratic tendencies. The two bear an unstable obsessiveness coupled with an abounding resourcefulness and determination that only serves to highlight their stark contrasts. Wilson's grip on reality is shaky at best, and due to hyperfocusing, the world around the scientist shudders, his anxiety spikes, and he himself suffers a slew of mental breaks. Wilson is adamantly opposed to starving. |TEMPERAMENT| Reactionary, Wilson has a tendency to reflect back the energy the world throws at him. Violence for violence, an eye for an eye. Manic, restless, the type to run himself beyond the breaking point, Wilson is a neurotic unfocused explosion of enthusiasm attempting to focus itself. |INTELLIGENCE| The connection between genius and madness is no longer merely anecdotal and of his many varieties of psychosis, Wilson is aware of the loose associations. While the invasion of nonsense into conscious thought can be overwhelming and disruptive to him, his genius can be quite creative albeit debilitating and even life-threatening. The scientist is often tormented by his own mind, and although his thirst for knowledge benefits from the productivity of his tortured acuity, Wilson considers his moments of brilliance to be worth the extensive suffering. |PRIORITIES| The scientist genuinely seeks to find his 'Eureka', his breakthrough, the one grand discovery that sets him apart from all others. Wilson pursues the advancement of knowledge, held on a methodical pedestal in which he would sacrifice all other aspects of his life, and possibly others, in the name of science. |ACCESSORIES| Depending on the era, Wilson is almost always carrying a satchel or backpack of some sort and within are essentials needed for a man who has experienced surviving the world at it's most treacherous. An old style razor, a multipurpose tool kit, a set of clothes, his prized journal for all of his documentations and personal musings, perhaps some maps, and other more peculiar objects. Modern!Wilson will also stow his laptop and other such tech equipment there. Oddly enough, his bag can hold a lot more than the laws of physics permit. |
