  • Personality: Like most Fae, Jacob is often regarded as a troublemaker. He enjoys making deals, specifically the kind where he benefits from them the most. While easy to anger, he doesn't usually jump to violence as a solution, preferring the route of silent revenge.
  • Mannerisms: Due to the Fae in his blood, Jacob can never tell a direct lie, however, he will stretch truths and omit details to skew a narrative in his favor. Generally well dressed, he plays the part of a gentleman. That is, until someone gives him a reason not to.

• Biography

  Jacob is the son of Nathair Sgiathach (a faerie dragon) and an elven female. Being born "Fey touched/half-fae” from Nathair Sgiathach, Jay was gifted with powers similar to a weak faerie dragon. When he was younger, Jay had a fascination with dark magics, often dabbling with them. His father, learning of this, disowned Jacob and stripped him of any claims he had to the Seelie court. Alone and without a mentor to teach him, Jacob sought out the plane of pandemonium. Once there, he approached the Queen of Air and Darkness, begging her to serve as a mentor. The Queen agreed, with the stipulation that Jay must join her court as The Winter Knight. The Queen marked him with two symbols, a snowflake on his left wrist, and a black diamond on the other. Along with his natural-born talents, Jay gained mastery over illusion and mind magics.
  However, it is important to note that Jay is not Unseelie, he simply works for the court. Therefore he does not have the normal gruesome looks and veins an Unseelie would have.
  
  
  Korsae
  Along his travels, Jacob had the misfortune of falling under the spell of a Lamia by the name of Korsae. Bound by blood and iron, mind warped by false love, and undergoing slight magical tampering left Jacob shattered and unstable. Believing that the torture he underwent was truly Kor’s love, Jacob was left with a cynical outlook on life.
  
  
  Smalls:
  After washing up on the shores of Stellan, Jay’s first encounter was with a tea-sipping, ass-kicking, peace-making furbolg monk named smalls. After aiding Smalls and his group in taking back their city from the devious man known as the GodFather, Jay And Smalls join the Krag Fleet. It was during his time with the Krag Krew that Jay truly came into his own, becoming more and more feral as he spent less and less time on land and around people. During the shipwreck of the Fleet (caused by a raid done by the followers of Neesha) Jay gave the rest of humanity to Maeve (his patron) in order to save Smalls from drowning. Now fully fae, he parted ways with his remaining crew members and spent a century alone. Hidden away in the forest of the forgotten.
  
  Klein:
  However, his self-exile soon came to a quick end as a mortal named Klein unknowingly became Jay’s charge. Having found a coin while scavenging the remains of an old ship that had washed ashore, Klein had the misfortune of summoning Jay to him. After dispatching a murderous jester that had been terrorizing Klein’s town, Jay became Klein’s advisor. He was known as ‘The Winter Shade’ and became a widespread myth and legend. As Klein died of old age, he thanked Jay for his service by casting the coin back into the ocean. Until such a time that someone finds the coin again, Jay spends his time making merry and playing tricks on the unsuspecting.
  
  Abilities:
  While almost immune to most forms of damage, this is drastically balanced by his severe intolerance to Iron. A pure iron blade not only will leave lasting marks but will slowly poison his essence until his torturous death.
  
  Jay is also susceptible to mental magical attacks if the said caster can match or surpass him in magical strength. However, unless you are truly a magical powerhouse, iron will always be your best bet.
