History

• The plague..

  Fallen behind a net of darkness his conscious mind forgets. Or perhaps he just sleeps and dreams like any other mortal until it is time to awaken. As his mind lays dormant his physical body remains active, or perhaps animated by something, or someone with malevolent intentions. From a history of reckless bloodshed and destruction a bloodline of savages lies the karma in its wake. A birth of a new evil, a curse that plagued the royal bloodline of its people. Crile Patriage was that revolution, the last birthen of his people before the rest of them perished to what seemed like a abominable plague. It took his father, his mother, and his siblings. There was nobody left to serve him, to love him, to protect him. Why didn’t the plague kill him? Why was he destined to be alone in this world full of dead memories?

• Viking chivalry

  Being the last male born in the Kingdom of Etathial, his preparations to become a fierce viking like that of his brother Embelicus, grew at an envious bid. Knowing nothing but violence and death betrayal wasn’t an uncommon sight in this barbaric heritage. Embelicus was older and already had his ambitions for King whereas Crile’s impressive skills in combat were beginning to be seen as a threat. It was also suspicious that once he was born he killed his own mother in the process. It definitely wasn’t something to overlook as then it seemed like a plague began its course. Embelicus was beginning to think Crile was a bad seed, a blight that had to be cut from the tree in order for it to flourish once more. In a deceitful manner of betrayal Embelicus turned on Crile when the moment was right.
  
  After a war had broken out, the casualities were being mended including his brother who took a nasty stab wound to his chest. Knowing he was weak he would then go and finish the job and slit his brother’s throat in hopes to keep the throne and his bloodline afloat. Embelicus knew something was odd about him from the beginning. His eyes weren’t human, his temperature always ran hot, he always seem to come out of battle unscathed despite the human limitations a body could have. The man that stabbed Crile had poisoned him as it was a secret assassination attempt, but he did not die. He never could die. So Embelicus saw to it that a beheading would make it a definite demise.
  
  So as sick as the poison coursed through him making him weak, one night Embelicus took an axe and beheaded his own brother through envy, fear, and pledge. He told his people that he was to blame for the plague and stood him up for the public to watch his beheading. He was a traitor, a murderer and also a curse in this family that needed to be severed!! That it was as one heavy swosh of the axe chopped his head from his body as he lay lifeless for the world to see.
  
  What was Death?
  The curse didn’t permit such devious behavior as this special soul was given a job to accomplish and serve. To destroy life in order to create life.. there had to be a balance. There was always a balance in magic, in nature, in any given moment. His mother who gave birth to him did in fact die but not because of birth complications. It was actually for an out worldly exchange of voodoo magic that she could not deny. Since greed and power consumed them it would eventually lead to a backlash. She wanted more, more power, more wealth, more land. She was never satisfied so the King at the time, Ghandor, likes to spoil his lady and decided to trust this shaman for these fortunes. Well little did they know this witch doctor did not like what they were offering. Held up to die or do their bidding, the shaman knew he was dead either way. So giving his last breath he spoke a few odd words in a foreign tongue. The Queen who was with child was now blessed with good fortunes or so they were assured. All the doctor needed was a bit of blood and all would be good.
  
  Soon after the mother would get sick as would all the women of Etathial. Then the children, and then the men, it seemed like the entire village was getting sick. The plague was coming to full circle and the only one not infected was Crile Patriage.
