Drüskelle are holy soldiers from Fjerda who hunt Grisha for trial and execution at the Ice Court. They claim that Grisha are demonic and evil, and use this to justify killing them. Although they say that all Grisha stand a fair trial, it is widely known that they are biased and often end up burning Grisha in pyres. Drüskelle have very hard and regimented training.
|COMBAT SPECIALIST|Due to his Drüskelle-training Beowulf is skilled in hand-to-hand fighting styles, therefore understanding and analysing his opponents style of combat and flaws in the opponent's attack and defence. He is able to locate and make use of his opponent's weak spots or use their strength in his favour.
He has a vast knowledge of his opponent's body and their limitations, as well as an incredible perception of the opponent's and his own surrounding areas, using it to his advantage. He knows when and how to go straight for the kill, and when to simply render his target harmless.
|WEAPON SPECIALIST|Another part of Beowulf's training included generals lessons in weapon knowledge, enabling him to recognise, hone and wield a basic spectrum of weapons including various swords and knives, axes mallets as well as a wide range of ranged weapons such as bows, crossbows and even firearms. He has excellent muscle control and eyesight, meaning he knows how to position his body depending on the weapon (or lack thereof) he's holding, and he knows how to read the weather and his surroundings and aim accordingly.
|WOLF CONNECTION|The Drüskelle work with wolves commonly, and once a wolf is partnered with a soldier, they work together as one. If the wolf dies first, it is a terrible loss, but a new one can always be trained. If the soldier dies first, the wolf is returned to the wild, but no pack will accept them.
