Who I am

Guinevere Blanche was born to a french father and english mother, on the island Korsika. She grew up an only child, with two parents who very much adored and loved her, and though they didn't have the most of money they were quite happy with how they were. Her parents weren't really the ones who had grown up in a spoiled family with lots of money in their banks to support them on their own, but they hadn't been the ones who were struggling either. Her father had lived most of his life on the french island, and her mother had craved adventure once she had turned eighteen, only to travel to the island and fall in love with the first man she stumbled over. Adventue they had, but it was between the two of them and in the comfort of their home on the island. Her mother was a nurse, who took up a job on the local hospital and her father was an inspiring writer who had written one romance novel that had done pretty well, and then he had gotten himself stuck unable to write another, but the one novel was more than enough to keep their life going for years to come.
When Gwen was born she as instant happy plus to the family, though her parents quickly decided they didn't want anyone else but her, she satisfied everything they had wanted from getting a kid, and there for Gwen grew up to be an only child. Which she did rather well. Gwens father was always home because of his inability to write another book, which meant he often had creative ways to keep his daughter entertained, whether it was by drawing animal faces on cardboard boxes and telling stories to Gwen about how she was riding a majestic dragon in a fairytale, or it was making a deal with the local stable that Gwen could ride their horses, Gwen was never bored. She loved every minute of her childhood, until she didn't anymore.
Like most metahumans, Gwens powers became active. However hers happened much later in life, when she was already a teenager. It happened on a regular evening, where she had her childhood crush Etiénne over, they were both fifteen at the time. They had been flirting for most of the night, and after they had dinner, they finally decided to take the last step and kiss each other after all that time, but the minute their lips touched, his skin turned as white as snow, and all color left his face, and he start seizuring on the bed. In terror she screamed for helped, and her parents came to her aid instantly, but the minute they did and touched her the same thing happened to her mother. Terrified Gwen just started running, not wanting it to happen to anyone else, and she never stopped running again.
It's been seven years since it happened, and Gwen has since travelled her way to England, but still to this day she has never touched anyone again, terrified of what might happen the next time she does.

Gwen can absorb the powers, energies, memories, knowledge, talents, personality and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being (or members of some sentient alien races) through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. She is not limited to absorbing superhuman abilities: for example, she has absorbed the strength, agility, and sharp reflexes of an enhanced human. She can also absorb psionic abilities.
In absorbing another person's memories, Gwen also gains the emotional responses connected to them. For the transfer of abilities to be accomplished, Gwen’s skin must contact the skin of her victim. Gwen can only absorb abilities and memories from living organic beings. She can possess the powers of several superhumans at once. No upper limit has yet been determined for the number of superhuman beings whose power she can maintain simultaneously, or for the amount of power that she can absorb. Gwen can even absorb gross physical characteristics from a victim.
Her physical appearance does not change when she absorbs abilities and memories from a normal looking human being. The victim's abilities and memories are absorbed for a time sixty times longer than the period of time Gwen was in physical contact with that person. Those touched are rendered unconscious by contact with her, though some beings have resisted this effect. While for most of her life, her use of this power was involuntary, Gwen has recently gained full control over it. This transfer is usually temporary, lasting for a period of time relative to how long contact is maintained, but the transfer may become permanent in certain cases. Most often the process happens instantly when Gwen touches someone, but in certain instances where a being has possessed an extraordinary level of power, they are able to resist her, and she may only share part of their memories and power.
Her power is proved to be lethal. Metahumans are proved to be a bit stronger than humans because metahumans have mutated genetics, so her power does less lethal effects for most metahumans than humans. If she touches her victim too long, she may kill her victim because of too much loss of energies due to the absorption (though this is mostly humans), except if she voluntarily kills her victim with her touch. As Gwen is absorbing the total psyche of a person, there is a risk of a personality overwhelming her and taking control of her body. It has also been shown that even though Gwen forgets the memories she has absorbed when a psyche returns to its body, 'echoes' of their personalities remain buried in her mind. Gwen is able to absorb psyches and abilities of several beings at once, though the experience can be confusing and disorienting for her.
