Inugami Koga

Born in a village of his people in a deep forest hidden away in the spirit realm, he was born the son of a noble swordsman and smith for the village. His mother was a priestess, and his father was held in very high spiritual esteem. His blessed swords had served the village for centuries, and would continue to do so over Koga's lifetime. He was raised around swords, introduced at an early age to their make and design. The skill to use one would come later, early on he would labor with his father to make the weapons that protect their village and people. As the years moved along, he was shown spiritual guidance by this mother, who toiled as a priestess for the shrine in their village. He would spend much time in silent contemplation and meditation in the village shrine, and as a young man he would be shown a sign that he is chosen. His training with a blade would begin soon enough, as his father took it upon himself to train him in the way of the blade. The spiritual side of this was aided by his mother, and more and more time was spent in the village shrine. As the years passed by, the village would see his prowess with a blade first hand, making his father proud as a slayer of terrible yokai. He had earned a reputation throughout his village as a greatly skilled swordsman, and a source of spiritual power and guidance. His scars began to come, as the pressures of his skill made his enemies more dangerous. Venturing further and further from his home, he chased these evil creatures to their lairs and slew them where they hide. One demon in particular gave him trouble, a white snake demon that left him wounded. Scarring his face, Koga was left with a permanent reminder of their battle, and a desire for revenge. He gathered his courage and needed supplies, and set off on a journey to slay this serpent creature. Its plots and schemes had been made known to him during their altercation, and he sought to stop this fiend from completing his goal. Once he was healed and his strength had returned, he set out to hunt down the snake. His travels would lead him into a plot that had been festering for centuries.....
