Bellatrix Maia Nightingale

An old, tattered railroad, wood slowly rotting away, covered by the autumn leaves that blanket the ground. The air is cold and crisp, and surrounding this railroad are the trees of a forest lining each side of the tracks, a forest that one could easily get lost in forever. On this railroad walks a girl, her hair a deep purple that curls gently around her shoulders, adorned by two rabbit-like ears that twitch periodically. Her eyes are a chestnut-gold color that flickers with emotion. You hear the autumn leaves and gravel that lies in between the tracks crunch and crackle underneath the girl's obsidian black combat boots. Draped over her shoulders is a short cloak concealing a white blouse cinched by a corset and a black skirt; her forearms protected by leather lacedown gauntlets.

She carries no weapons, but a singular rose in one of her hands. Its sweet fragrance surrounds her as she walks. Occasionally, her eyes falter and become dull; her pace is anything but steady. But nevertheless she keeps on walking. The railroad is old and fragile, and hasn't been walked by anyone else in a long time - but somehow she always manages to find her way back to it, following it not knowing exactly where it leads, sometimes worrying if it will come to a halt.

And yet, she still finds it in herself to gaze around herself. Her vision is not always clear, but when it is she'll admire every little beautiful detail in the forest that surrounds her.
And when her vision is clouded, burdened by the chaos and constant change of scenery? She looks up to the sky, and sees the tiny slivers of blue that poke their way through the canopy. As long as the sky is blue she will no longer be afraid.

For she is forever tethered to reality.
