    Name’s Dai, you can also call me Fera or Wolven. I’ve been on the internet for around 20 years now, a quarter of that I’ve been roleplaying. I first started my roleplaying career on a site called Chatzy with some old friends then that extended to the roleplay fandom on Tumblr where I roleplayed as a bunch of characters over the course of several varying from canon characters to original characters. Eventually, my Roleplaying escapades moved onto Discord where it resides currently for the most part. I’m a self-taught artist for almost as long as I’ve been roleplaying so most of the art in my Characters’ galleries will be drawn by me unless stated otherwise. I’m generally friendly but usually, I keep to myself unless we’re friends in which expect me to send you memes and funny videos before asking how your day is.

    I’m not perfect with my grammar, I’d say I’m above average, but I do my best to keep up and match those with who I roleplay with. Depending on my energy and how invested I get into the Plot of the roleplay between our characters, I can vary in my replies but I usually try to give a 1-2 paragraph reply.

    Raelynn is a generally new character, I’ve had only a year or so with her? So don't expect her to be the most complex character in my repertoire. But she‘s a character I do want to flesh out more and be common in my bag of OC’s. She has needs, wants, and desires as she develops more as a character those will change with her but she will always be the same.

    What is Raelynn?
    Born between a Lupus Garou and a Wolf Kinfolk, Raelynn is a She-wolf trap between two worlds, the moral and the supernatural. Where mythical creatures and beings such as pale-skinned night dwellers that prowl the streets in a human guise and wolf-like beasts skulk through the darkness of the woods exist in the modern world.
    And she’s one of them; a Garou, essentially a Werewolf, a Warrior, and Defender of Gaia. She turned at an early age and spent a majority of her childhood training to control her Wolf and learning of the Garou culture. But it wasn't long before she learns of the Human world and gets drawn in. When given the choice to stay at the Sept with her Garou Father or go to the city to live amongst the Kinfolk. Strangely ... she chose the City.

    What can she do?
    As a Garou, she not only that but she is able to tap into natural spiritual energy to use in a variety of mystical abilities called ‘ Gifts’. As such she's sometimes able to see those who lay in the in-between of the Mortal and Spiritual plane (ex. Ghosts). And like any Werewolf character, she’s able to change form, not into just one but four other forms, each with its own pros and cons and has strength, senses, and reflexes 10x better than the average human. The more Wolf she goes the more her Instincts are in control and if enraged to the point of Frenzy, well, that’s not going to be fun for either party.

    Bound by the Litany and her own personal preferences, Raelynn treats ‘Shifting’ as a weapon almost, something done if she in a situation where her human ingenuity and her unique style of mixed martial arts isn’t going to cut it. It’s not that she hates or fears her beastly self, far from it, she just respects it. Her other forms are an extension of herself, whether she liked it or not. It is her. It is her ` double-edged sword `, her ` attack dog with a muzzle ` - if she uses it in the wrong way or intentionally let it run wild, people will get hurt and she could get hurt.

    What is she like?
    Sass with a dash of snark, honest with a bit of bite, and keen intuition — she can be mean, but never mean without a purpose or reason. Despite Realynn leaving for the city to get in touch with the more human side of herself, she is still a Wolf through and through. Both in a metaphorical and literal sense. Loyal to a fault, honest about her thoughts and feelings, and a ferocity that can’t be matched. She’s protective of those closest to her, wanting only the best, defending them, and being there when they need it most. Raelynn is stalwart in her thinking and beliefs but doesn’t make her blind to others. As a pack animal, she has to be able to work with others and as such, she’s open-minded to a degree, she’s able and willing to listen to others but up to the point that it starts going against her morals and beliefs.

    But God have mercy on you if you manage to get on her bad side. During these times, she can be blunt, impulsive, wild and off-putting — driving away people even if they mean good and is quick to snap at them. Sometimes snapping literally with rows of fangs. All the while, exuding this strong aura of dominance and control that makes most people at least take a step or two back. She has little patience for foolhardy people challenging her or someone in a higher rank, physically or verbally.

    She keeps people at an arms’ length not necessarily out of lack of trust, she just doesn’t want them getting hurt because of her. Either out of a fear that she might hurt them or beings that want to hurt her will hurt them. And as she follows the Litany strongly, them getting close also risks them finding out about her other half. But those who managed to resist the urge to avoid her and gain her trust will gain a loyal, steadfast friend that will not hesitate to jump in to defend them.


    What are her goals?
    Raelynn’s overall goal is to understand humans and the human world. As a Wolf-born living in Garou culture, she had little to no human interactions and the ones she did were very brief. Her interest sparked when during her Rite of Passage, she was injured badly in a fight and, out of habit she reverted to her Breed form and retreated to an alleyway nearby. As she licks at her wound, a human saw her, they were scared yet looked more concerned if anything else. Raelynn could only assume during the time that the human was a veterinarian as they were carrying medical equipment and despite their fear they came closer and patched her wound as best as They could. Raelynn made sure to act correctly, not too aggressive but not too calm either and when her leg was properly patch, she quickly climbed to her feet and limped away.
    The human didn’t have to do that yet they did. They were afraid but did what they thought was right. From what she had been told at a young age was that humans were evil, and she had seen their evil, but this one went out of its way to help her. Raelynn has a very Man vs. Self conflict going on with her goal.

    A secondary goal she has is a goal that every Garou like her has is to find a way to defeat the Wyrm and win the War before the Apocalypse hits. As such she was trained to destroy and/or kill anything that is of the Wyrm or exudes Wyrmtaint. If she senses Wyrmtaint, she'll be quick to investigate it if she can and, if she is able to, destroy it. And if it is coming from a person possessed by a Wyrm tainted spirit, well, if she's able to... they won't be seen by next morning.

    What To Expect when Roleplaying with Raelynn!


    ☾ The Curse:
    When describing what The Curse is I’ll quote a small paragraph from a Werewolf: The Apocalypse site:

    `Most humans will feel uneasy around Garou and avoid them. Garou awakens an instinct in humans to flee as prey flees the approach of a predator. When you watch a wildlife show and see a pack of wolves stalk a herd of deer. The deer become alert, sensing the predator in their midst, and become nervous. The nervousness travels over the entire herd and as the predator moves past them the deer will give the wolf a wide berth until it has moved out of range of a strike. That is the effect of the Curse.`

    To Characters that are Shy or Meek, they may seek to avoid her. Aggressive characters may feel threatened by her and might try to size her up for a possible fight. Cautious characters may keep an eye on her as she might suddenly snap. For the sake of Roleplaying and any hopes of her making some bonds, its effects are lessened to a degree, but it will always be an ever-present thing. Characters, besides those who are strong-willed or sometimes even curious, will always feel apprehensive in her presence. She’s a Wolf in Sheep’s clothing and at any time that Guise can drop and her fangs will show.

    ☾ One Dynamite Gal:
    The best and nicest way to describe Raelynn and most Garou is… unstable. Their emotions, especially their anger, are always worn on their sleeve, quick to set in and before they can reign it in the damage may have already been done. When a character meets Raelynn and hangs around her long enough, she may come off as unpredictable and impulsive like a wild animal. Quick to snap at people, quick to get her words out, and quicker to start swinging. And once her ball gets rolling, well, it’s hard getting it to stop. She’s like a stick of dynamite, and when the fuse is lit, it’s best to be out of the way. She may come off as having a short-fuse but that’s far from it.

    Raelynn’s far from being some angry brute, she can be scarily intelligent and quick-witted having a somewhat clear insight of a situation at hand after a while. She finds herself often catching those who think she’s just a mindless barbarian, off guard with her clever rationality.

    ☾ Keeping things under the Rug:
    Raelynn will never outright tell a character what she is and she will never out someone for not being human unless it’s outwardly obvious. She bound by The Litany to protect the Veil, of course, there are some instances plot-wise or other where the Viel might have to be torn, but it will only be those instances. If she can help it she will protect the Veil and if she needs to go transform, she will slip away when no one is looking to do so and will slip back when she can. If someone tries to out her for not being human, she will be calm and act reasonably as any regular person would, she will deny unless absolute proof is shown and even then she’d still deny. Anonymity is a Garou’s ultimate defense and if that anonymity is threatened, she will get defensive and even aggressive. It protects not just her from just being jumped randomly in the streets but also those connected to her.

    If your character wants to keep secrets from her that’s fine in her books because she has her own.

    ☾ Power Levels:
    Raelynn is based on a tabletop Werewolf game where your Character turned into a 10-foot tall killing machine with fur and fangs and fight against creatures that can be equally as dangerous if not more so. In addition to being able to call upon mystical spiritual powers to aid her in battle. As such Raelynn can come off as overpowered in certain situations but she will never Shift or use her abilities unless the situation calls for it or if she feels overwhelmed, physically or emotionally. If she’s dealing with a regular human enemy she will not take on Crinos, the massive War form, to take care of them; it wouldn’t make sense and it’d be overkill. What form she takes varies on the situation, but only in extreme situations, or if she’s pushed into a Frenzy, will she take on Crinos.

    Raelynn knows her strengths and weakness, she is quick to adapt and works well in a group if she knows who she's working with. In a fight, she makes sure both she and her companion pulls their own weight.

    Player & Character Limits

    ✗ Ask First, Not Later
    I don’t mind plots that tastefully go into touchy subjects but I like to be told ahead of time. When touchy subjects are involved I’d like to know what so I can choose whether I want to be a part of it or not.

    ✗ Keep it Classy
    I don’t mind Blood and Gore in a Plot but don’t go overboard. I’m not very squeamish but I don’t want to see the fine details of how your character disemboweled some random dude and left him for dead hung by his entrails. Keep it classy and tasteful.

    ✗ Keep it organic, Don’t force it
    I don’t mind pre-determined relationships but I prefer any type of relationship happening with Raelynn to happen organically between roleplays. There’s a lot of things about her that can ward a person off from even wanting to get near her. So to have someone just running up to her, jumping into her arms, and trying to be her `bestest friend` is unrealistic.

    ✗ Storyteller I am not.
    I’m here to roleplay not to be a DM, if we have a plot, we both work together to build a story out of it.

    ✗ Godmodding
    I don’t appreciate my character being remote-controlled by another unless it’s in the plot (ex. Mind control). Nor do I appreciate a character just solving problems all on their own miraculously while my character just hangs in the sidelines. Either we both work together or we don’t at all.

    ✗ No Children, plz.
    There is no room in any of Raelynn’s open plots and general character for a child to fit in. And The Curse makes it impossible for any bond to be formed between as the child themself will most likely see Raelynn as the boogeyman that hides under their bed.

    		 🗸 Vanilla Humans (within reason and limits)
    I'll accept a vanilla human being in a plot under the condition that they aren't the main character of the plot. They should be an NPC or Background character that makes an appearance or two during the plot, possible even help a little, but is never the one to resolve or be the main focus. Raelynn will never purposely bring a human into her World, she envies yet hates their ignorance about going on around them. Not just that but she has the Veil to think about so she wouldn't even think about roping some random human into whatever supernatural thing she's doing or about to do.

    🗸 The Weird and the Strange
    Raelynn from time to time deals with the supernatural, sometimes acting as the mouthpiece to her Sept if she's in the area. She has met and seen other shapeshifters, faeries, mages, ghosts, and vampires. Meeting other Supernaturals will not surprise her by much, though it depends on what they are. Plots and Characters dealing with those are where Raelynn is most likely going to be at her most relaxed state and also the most fun. I prefer these types of plots of course with them still having ties to the Modern Age.

    🗸 Friction
    I love friction between characters, in a good way of course. Having characters who mesh together perfectly can be fun but characters with opposing beliefs and ways make things a bit more organic. After all not all people are the same, don't be afraid to occasionally butt heads with Raelynn, she won't bite.
