Eyes: Viann has pale eyes that look milky bluish white, with no pupil. This was intentionally and magically affixed to keep him subdued and yielding in his youth to be trained for slavery.

Checkerboard Desc.It was a wooden square, a couple inches tall, several more wide and long, with tiny wooden handles that reveal a drawer. The surface was also 'visible' by touch - a checkerboard. Alternating rough and smooth squares. Inside the drawer was small round pieces - half with a prettily carved 'X' on them, others without; also making the pieces distinct from one another was the fact some were sandpapery in texture with the sides rivetted like a coin, the others were perfectly smooth aside from a concave indent in the middle to make them easier to grip. It was made with a mix of pale yellowy white wood and a peculiar sort that was genuinely blue in color. The sides were decorated with engravings of twining vines and leaves, except for the drawer which was smooth.
