Kwan Jin

The first version of Kwan's backstory made as much sense as his old name, Kaido Richards. Originally a Japanese 16 year-old boy with an angry and confusing background, Kwan Jin is now a 6'1 tall Korean man around his 20's who to almost everyone's surprise, owns his own cat cafe. Kwan now has loving parents who are still alive and well, consisting of an American father and Korean mother. He will have music production as his hobby. Instead of a huge scythe, Kwan will carry around a good sized pocket knife and occasionally a handgun. He will also carry around a handy language translator as this can help him to better advertise for his cat-fe. Kwan will still have "death's touch" with different levels of impact and moderation. He currently is in a romantic relationship with Raymond Martinez, a Hispanic immigrant who obtained his Korean citizenship 2 years before he met Kwan at a rock concert in America. The two were only visiting to see a metal band called "Opeth". There were only two bad incidents in Kwan's life, one of which was an attempted robbery from when he was 10. Though it was in his home, fortunately neither he or his parents were injured and nothing was stolen as the police arrived in a quick and progressive manner. As for his missing left eye, you would expect that as a tough looking guy, Kwan would've lost it in a brutal fight. The true story, however, is that when Kwan was still in elementary school, he had accidentally plunged a pencil into his left eye after tripping and catching himself mid-fall. He had to get his eye removed since a severe infection began to manifest within the eyeball itself from the bacteria on the pencil. Kwan always thought it to be funny when he received reactions as some people compared what they expected at first glance to the true personality they received from Kwan. When well known, Kwan can be described as kind-hearted, funny, witty and good-natured. He is mostly laid back unless he feels as though his cats, his cafe, if friends, family and/or boyfriend's health and well-being are being threatened. With his job and passion standing as one reason, Kwan is a very good cook and baker as all baked goods in his cafe are home-made and almost always fresh. Kwan's cat-fe had been a big dream since Kwan was 10 years old. Appearance-wise, Kwan has natural jet-black hair on the bottom and dyed red hair on top. His hair is slicked back slightly as the bottom hairs stick out as inward whisps. He also has a short beard to match up with his black eyepatch and hairstyle. Kwan commonly wears a plain red t-shirt, blue jean jacket, grey pants and black boots. Though he has a tough guy look, he is one of the biggest sweethearts you will have met.

Forgot to mention this. Kwan has a magical tattoo on his back. It is a triangle that holds the hangul spelling of "flight". When he activates it, a pair of big grey feathered wings will sprout from Kwan's back and give him freedom to fly. He will never not feel privileged.
