  Personality: Matera is the epitome of a malevolent spirit. She is cold and ruthless and her desire to kill and torment everyone around her is only held back by her respect for Nikita. She is overly protective of Nikita and will only speak to her. At least that is what Nikita says. However no one has actually ever seen the two speak. As far as Matera's relationship with Loki as far as Matera is concerned as long as Nikita likes her then Matera likes her too.

• Biography

  What do I know about Matera? Alot actually.
  
  Matera was once human like us. But see Matera isn't from anywhere that's anything like here. She came from somewhere beyond earth. At first I had thought that she was an Alien. I met her after being sucked into a temporal flux. I thought it had taken me to another planet but the more I think about the more I think it was more than just anothe planet. It was another world altogether. I saw alot of things there but Matera was the one I got along with most. She reminded me of myself I guess. Everyone thought she was a monster. It was the same look people gave me when I was younger. We connected no that's not the right word. We became souldbound. I can hear her thoughts inside my head now. She speaks to me but I don't know how. Maybe some sort of neural link I suppose. Anyway... when I first met her we tried to kill each other but she is already dead and I'm well tenacious. After we fought I spoke to her told her I wasn't afraid of her. After that she asked for my help.
  
  She needed help burying a hatchet from her past and I helped her get the job done. That's when she started following me and I guess we just kinda grew on each other. She watches my back and I watch hers. That's all there is to it really. Just try not to piss her off too much ok. Aside from that she is actually really nice once you get to know her she just, she is scared. Scared of people and scared of getting hurt.

• Abilities

  "Loki is undoubtedly the brains of the operation, and Nikita is the brawn. Matera is the most important though. She is their oh shit button."
  
  Mist Weaving
  Matera is capable of becoming as well as producing a thick fog like mist that makes it almost impossible to see more than 10 feet in front of you without some sort of thermal vision or visionary aid.
  
  All Sight
  True to her Alias, Matera does not see in a 3 dimensional field of view. She sees in a way that grants her an telescopic aerial infrared. This ability is especially useful to Nikita as Matera acts as her spotter telling her where and when to shoot.
  
  Mist Wraps
  Matera's bandages hold special healing properties that prevent whatever she wraps in them from being injured any worse than they already are. This ability is able to stop the progression of wounds but not mend them.
  
  Shade Step
  Matera is able to teleport by turning into mist and dissipitating then reappearing somewhere else. This effect is extended to whatever is wrapped in her bandages making her an invaluable tool for removing wounded warriors from the field of battle.
